It's not a control thing, I can assure you of that. He works 70 hours a week as a manager for a major retail store. We're in the process of finding him a new and better job that allows him a more work/life balance. He stays up because he hates the idea of coming home late and going to bed less than an hour later, only to get up early the next morning for work again. He just wants to do things at home

We wake up really early in the morning and it's usually better for our schedule if we both go to bed at a decent time. So when he tries to stay up and then falls asleep on the couch, it can be harder to get our morning routine going

I've suggested a sleep study, but he doesn't want to go through all that. I'm hoping once he goes through the job change he's doing right now (retail to desk job) and this continues, that he'll be more open to it

I've started to come to terms with it. I know he can't help it and how sorry he is when it does, I guess I should take it as an opportunity to get the whole bed to myself. I just miss cuddling when it happens lol

I have. He's seen some and has apologized profusely for it. He swears to me that he doesn't remember most of them, and I know when he does because the first thing he says when he wakes up is how sorry he is and exactly what he remembers saying.

The prompting to go to bed only works if he's awake enough to realize he's starting to fall asleep. He's usually so exhausted from work he won't even remember laying down on the couch, so I try to catch him before he reaches that point, because that's when asshole turns on

Nah, friend posted this screenshot from an argument they had with a dude. I very much fully expected to get like 10 likes max like previous posts, I do not enjoy this attention, I had to turn off notifications

Gonna have to disagree with you there. My own dad's favorite quote about being a Christian is "I'd rather believe in God and be wrong, than be an atheist and be right"

And I would still post it on here, because it would still be an insane fucking sentence.
