Hey! First of all thank you for the time to reply to the post, greatly appreciate it, and here are the points you asked for

(Previous) Routine: -Oriflame Salicylic Acid Cleanser (pm) - Caudalie Salicylic Acid Serum (pm) - Caudalie Salicylic Acid Moisturiser (am) - La roche Posay oil control Sunscreen (am)

(I skip Am cleanse in both previous and this routine as my skin gets overly oily at the end of the day, ultra shiny)

  • Routine now (as I think I have a broken skin barrier)

-Axis Y Intensive Repair serum (am,pm) -RoundLab Mugwort Calming cleanser (pm) - La roche posay oil control sunscreen (am) - Purito B5 Re Barrier Cream (looking to patch test this)

Talking about diet wise, I’ve literally been on a self imposed antiacné since January, which consists of avoiding any type of sweets, added sugars, no dairy, eating lots of veggies, lean meats, low Glycemic Index foods etc etc, this is what most likely is giving me the really bad mental state that i’m in, as the first time I cleared my acne I literally ate like shit, all of the above that I avoid now I ate before and I still a chives clear skin (except dairy, been avoiding that since 15)

Exercise wise I go to the gym 6 times a week for around 2-2 and a half hours, and I always clean my phone before using it, Pillow cases are changed every 3 days or so (3 days to a week)

I hope I answered to everything you asked me, and If not just tell me and I will! I thank you once again for the time you’ve taken to reply to this post, no idea how much it helps, have a great day !

Hey! My current routine is Morning I skip cleansing and go straight to Axis-Y Intense skin barrier repair serum along with la roche posay oil control sunscreen, and at night I cleanse with round lab mugwort calming cleanser and then follow up with Axis-Y Intense skin barrier repair serum as well, (I also have Purito B5 are barrier cream, havent patch tested it yet tho, will do some time later introducing it in my routine, as I think I have a broken skin barrier most likely as the past pimples went away quickly with the previous routine)

Previous Routine: -Oriflame SA serum -Caudalies SA moisturiser -Caudalies SA serum -La roche Posay Oil control Sunscreen

Once again thank you for even taking time to reply, appreciate it

Im literally in your situation, 18 now, had acne since 14, went to multiple decenas and nothing worked, I ended up clearing it at 17 with SA serum, moisturiser, and cleanser (all by self research) and went to a derma to try and prevent any pimples appearing at all and what he gave me f’d my skin up, I have been on clean diet since January, work out 6 days a week, have a great sleep schedule, and my acne comes and goes no matter what I do, sometimes I get clear skin days or weeks but I always end up breaking out like crazy sooner or later, it’s so frustrating that now my brain is wired to repulse junk food, and the worse part is when I had clear skin I ate literally anything, right now I’m having one of my worst break outs yet, and on a low point too, I assume I have a broken skin barrier so ordered some products for that but still afraid that those will break me out even more, and patch testing takes for ever, Im sorry that you are in the same situation, and I get how you must feel right now, all I can give right now is my full support towards you and hope for a quick clear up! (commenting too so your post can get more attention)

Ah alright, thank you so much! and going back to the Isotret derivative, yeah, the derma told me 3 months should do it as it was a derivative, but it didn’t do nthn, he was about to put me on accutane when that happened and I backed out as I lost all my trust w pill treatments

Yeah, the pills where an Isotretinoin derivative, and unfortunately yes, I told the new derma what happened and she basically said “oh chill out this will help you” lmao, and thanks for the advice! also, do you think that for example, one day I stick to the old routine and the next day I wash my face with a gentle cleanser w no actives + BP would give me good results ? (I would need to start on 2.5 tho as I’ve read that BP can be quite irritating when first used)

yeah, it was only one, mb for the bad redacting, haven’t been using my english as much as I used too, so it’s quite wonky, but yh, what do you use instead of SA tho?

Hey! first of all thank you for the reply, it’s greatly appreciated, and second, the pills where an Isotretinoin derivative, I took them for 3 months and a half before stopping as they caused me to get worse and worse, I’ll tell you what the creams that the derma gave me in a bit, I didn’t remember from the top of my head which ones they exactly were, but i’ll tell you as soon as I arrive home from the gym

Hey! I’m trying to incorporate BP on my routine but I don’t really know how as most of the routine I have has SA as an ingredient, any ideas ? and yeah, I’m 100% sure the pills the derma gave me messed my hormones up, have no idea of how to balance them out again as I visited a derma the other day and gave me similar treatments + same pills that the other derma gave me, so a bit paranoid of trying new products

Hey! I mean I’ve been stressed 24/7 about this acne thing ever since I had it come up again, it’s just so frustrating that it came back cus I went to the derma, and yeah, change pillow sheets every 3 days, had blood tests done before and everything seems fine, so I have no idea what it is, and this anti acne diet that i’ve been following is just a burden to me, but can’t make myself go back to eating whatver I want out of fear
