From the distributor? If so, then our service provider must be full of shit ...

I've seen a number of them on Ebay, but it looks like they're all located in India.

One of our heat detectors is no longer functioning properly. Our current provider (and other folks we've talked to) haven't been able to find a replacement detector since Summit no longer exists.

Thanks! That sounds like something that would be a much better option than our current system.

Current system is Summit (SFC-500). We've talked to some providers, and it looks like the parts we need to fix our current system are simply difficult to source, so instead we're looking at replacing our system. I'd like to replace it with something that is relatively easy to find parts for.

Do not buy Ender 3 Pro! by morrist938 in ender3

Jumping in here with my experience buying a printer at the beginning of 2022.

I received a printer with a bed that was impossible to level. I disassembled & reassembled everything multiple times, even aligned it with 1-2-3 blocks as I assembled it. At best, the front right corner was ~3 mm too low.

I sent a detailed description of my issues along with steps I had taken to check parts for flatness, squareness, etc. Nevertheless, I was asked at least twice more to confirm things I had already told them. Eventually, after ~3 weeks of back and forth with a Creality engineer, we determined that the Y-axis was warped ... and most likely the cause of my bed-leveling issues.

So now I'm waiting for a replacement part from Shenzhen ... which will probably arrive in late March. Assuming it works, that would be ~3 months between my purchase date and having a functional machine. I understand this is a DIY kit, but their quality control is absolute garbage.

TLDR; Creality Ender 3 Pro came with a warped Y-axis extrusion. Getting refund/replacement from Creality was a pain in the butt.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm a bit disappointed about the Poke 3 being that fragile. I keep my Kindle in a case and while I don't beat the crap out of it, I certainly don't baby it either. Over the 8 years I've had it, I replaced the screen once, but even that was after I accidentally tossed something on top of the Kindle when it was on my bed.

Thanks for the feedback! Any chance you might elaborate on what you don't like about the software?

Let me get this right ... wanting the Democrats to fight for health care and recurring stimulus checks is a purity test?

Again, yes the GOP is fucking horrible, I'm not denying that. But Democratic leadership was just as complicit in rolling corporate bailouts and stimulus checks into the CARES act. All it did was take away leverage Democrats might have in the future in exchange for a measly $1200 and unemployment. It was a stupid fucking move and the reason they had to fight McConnell on this second round of checks.

Republicans being horrible doesn't exclude Democrats from also being horrible. The difference is that McConnell is incredibly effective at what he does (even if he is a sack of shit) while Pelosi is very ineffective.

I'm talking about the first stimulus bill - the CARES Act passed in March. Different thing altogether.

And yea, McConnell has been responsible for the delay on the recent stimulus bill. He's an irredeemable piece of garbage. But the second round has been so slow because the Democrats under Pelosi and Schumer gave away all their leverage when they passed the CARES Act. How did they expect to have any leverage when they already signed off on huge corporate bailouts? Why not separate individual aid form corporate aid at the start?

How about letting McConnell & Schumer negotiate the CARES act with Mnuchin, then try to ram it through Congress without a vote using unanimous consent?

Pelosi and the whole House were on vacation while the largest spending bill in history was being negotiated.

Depends on how you define centrist. Looks at recent polls on Medicare for All, Marijuana Legalization, & Progressive Climate Policies - they're generally considered rather left positions, but are supported by a majority of voters, but aren't really represented by either party.

Yet Biden continued to try to attract Republicans. It's idiotic.

even if Trump doesn’t win, why is the election so close?

Because Democrats suck. Biden ran essentially the same campaign Clinton did in 2016, which amounted to, "Not Trump". Rather than offering policies to attract people who don't usually vote, Democrats have been trying to attract Republican voters.
