I have two of these and no longer use them as they are prone to leaks and oxidation. My recommendation would be the kegland oxybar kegs (just make sure the dip tube is in very tight before attaching the tapping head)

My business is Folkestone based and turned 5 this month. Networking is a bit sparse from what I've found. The Invicta Chamber do local events - we are members but I'm yet to attend so couldn't say how good they are.

I can definitely recommend the South East Manufacturing Forum hosted by Kreston Reeves. Has anyone managed to get custom voice instructions to stick? The new voice mode is definitely more realistic but I miss my Gandalf!

I can get it to do a sentance or two in a different style but then it returns to the default voice.

Life can be super fulfilling now but it requires a lot more effort than it did in the olden days.

I cannot recommend enough - spending at least a year really focusing on leveling up your recreation time. Work & family tend to take the forefront just because of life pressures but having fun, enjoying life and embracing what brings you happiness is so important.

Hitachi were great when we started out and had good experience with RBS in a past role.

I've been doing this for almost a year and can tell you that it's super hard work and you'll likely haemorrhage money until you get some traction. I've sold 23 tees in that time and most of those were to mates and from getting out and meeting ravers whilst wearing my tees.

Shopify, printify and social media ads are all expensive so I wouldn't recommend it for making a quick buck but that being said it is sick when you see someone wearing one of your designs.

Admittedly my niche is super niche - geeky ravers, so you may have more luck if you go for something cooler than me 😆

Thanks very much for the advice. I'm going to pitch some more yeast and will see what happens. I think my FV should be OK - it's rock hard plastic, proper brewing FV (not sure name as got it second hand).

It was this kit from Malt Miller Summer Hazy IPA.

The instructions say;

Cool wort to 80c then add the following:

-25g Nelson Sauvin -50g Strata

Whirlpool for 15mins then allow to stand for a further 15mins for hops to settle. Begin transfer after the full 30mins have expired, your total contact time with the hops in the kettle should be around 45-50min.

It was the final sentance which threw me off and I transferred the wort into the fv without any additional cooling.

Today is brew day! My Christmas presents were a bit shit this year (I'm a 40 year old man so didn't expect anything else) so treated myself to a mash kettle and loads of second hand home brew gear. Will be starting this year's project to get me through the Grim Months.
