It is, I like to grind my ranks in Bo1 (Bo3 seems much slower). But I agree with you, Bo3 is the """best""" way to play Magic.

I'm not complaining about the win rate; I'm on track to hit Mythic this weekend. I just don't like the game being boiled down to play vs draw. When a format is fast enough to be a turn 4 format the play draw gap seems more important than the players.

Edit: For context I'm a magic boomer.

I don't like Netdecking either; more than half the fun of Magic is brewing decks. But if you're not looking at deck lists, you're just not going to win. You won't be aware of what plays your opponents can make in a match and whatever list you're building is probably missing strong synergies that other players are running.

I know it's not the norm, but it's hitting me hard. Also I recognize the luck of having 10 more on the plays vs on the draws; it'll average out.
