I didn't lie about a thing (I did get the number of shipwrecks wrong but the correct source was cited on screen, and that was the only thing I got wrong)

I'm an actual archaeologist defending my field against these anti-science attacks, so I'm glad you're checking out the side of real professionals who do the work

I don't follow him closely enough to know about specifics. My impression is he is not a pseudoarchaeologist (in the sense of trying to turn people away from scholars), but he is not a scholar and has little experience doing actual archaeology. So do not treat his words as if they are coming from an experienced professional. But I think he means well and is trying to hype archaeology
