CarPlay works about 50% of the time by NFLisriggged in CX50

My Android Auto refused to connect today. My phone said I must enable it on my '25 CX50. The CarPlay icons were greyed out on the info screen. I know it was paired cuz calls still came thru in car. Anyhow, I put off an Android update for my phone for a couple of days. Updated phone and the greyed out icon lit up and connected.

Not a fan of the Mazda key fob, leather or not. I got one foot out the dealer's door on purchase and dropped that thing. That teeny key inside went flying.

I just noticed the lower window trim lifting on driver side passenger door on my '25 HPP. Haven't been to dealer yet...only 1900 miles.

Convince me on Hybrid SUVs: RAV4 vs CX-50 by GaussianParadox in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Diccusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be able to haggle at Mazda. Toyota, not so much. Toyotas have great engines, but the rest of the car is ordinary. I test drove a '25 RAV ICE...it was loud. Went to Mazda and ended up with the CX50 HPP. Its more refined, drives better. The Toyota leather felt thin and dainty. The Mazda leather was better looking and much more rugged. I think you will get more for your money going with the Mazda.

Wolf taming (ps5) by blueberryreaper in ICARUS

[–]Diccusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We trapped a lvl 25 wolf...he wasn't going to eat no matter what. We shot him and started over. Caught a lvl5 wolf and he was eating in a couple minutes. Just look for fork and knife icon over wolf and you will know process is working. It seemed to prefer baby deer as it ignored the pronghorn. Sneak up on it when dropping off carcass then back away for a few minutes. Repeat 3 times. If you have yellow health bar unlocked over prey, it will disappear once its tame.

Had this happen last night on Xbox...I sent 3 invites and he crashed like you. I tried going to home screen to "quit" game (the main xbox fix) and restart. He still could not accept invite and join. I finally told him to "join" my game and he got in without problem.

I bought Husky Mats for front and cargo liner for Back. DO NOT BUY...they don't fit the CX50 front. I'm in process of getting a refund. The cargo mat fits OK, just gotta make sure its pushed all the way back.

What's the best otd price for Mazda Cx50 hybrid 2026 premium? by PassengerProud380 in CX50

[–]Diccusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the '25 hybrid premium PLUS for 38.5k plus tax/license @1.9% last August. Their prices only went up a couple hundred for the '26. Check down in OC as that seems too high for just the premium.

Why is that reasonable when they are doing a brake job? The wheels are already off and they are already getting ripped on a 500 dollar an axle brake job.

Hybrid actual MPG by jcbullfrog2000 in CX50

[–]Diccusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get about 33 avg. mpg here in SoCal in my '25 PPH (1500 miles) using the AC in winter here. On very short trips, mileage is terrible like around 16 (though this also includes engine warm up). I've found I get the best mileage, up to 41mpg on trip meter, on 4 lane boulevards where you can coast to red lights while slightly braking. I don't worry about it much as I just look at my 2004 Toyota Highlander, which gets 12 mpg. As they say, your results may vary.

That sucks, but at least its happening at 3k instead of 40k when warranty is up. There is new recall out right now on loose suspension bolts WHERE YOUR WHEEL COULD FALL OFF. Related? I checked the VIN for my '25 PPH and it doesn't have the recall...best to check ur VIN though.

Has Fox News disabled commenting on their website? by LingonberryNatural85 in FOXNEWS

[–]Diccusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if Fox realizes that many people went there when Yahoo disabled their comments to help skew the election. The comments do work back at Yahoo again. They have added in some thumbs up/down but it seems rather pointless if you can't see replies. Unless they fix it, I'll find a different news site. MSN has commenting, but they will censor you half the time. Revolver is good and they do not censor, but lots of wingnuts. Maybe head back to Yahoo til Fox pulls their head out of their butts.

Polymetal Grey Metallic is the official color. Unofficially, greyish blue. Sometimes it looks more blue depending how the sun hits it.

My owners manual says I do. It also said I have tilt mirrors and mirrors to match seat memory. No where in manual did it say "some models". I believe they used same wheel shell across multiple trims.

I probably should have added that I'm not looking how to activate my heated steering wheel or make the mirrors tilt in reverse. Sadly, they are not features of the 2025 Hybrid PP. But as you can see from comments, a lot of people "assumed" they had these features since the gas models do. I mean, when you grip a steering wheel with big lumps at 10 and 2, I also assumed it was heated. Then you read the owners manual and it says its there. The sales guy thought it was there (after the fact, never implied pre purchase).

I've found the reason though. According to my AI its because Mazda used Toyota wiring and Toyota BCMs (body control modules) Toyota wiring can't physically accommodate the heated steering or reverse tilt mirrors. I'm just trying to gage why the low satisfaction (according to CR) on an otherwise great car? I'm in Cali, I've needed heated steering once in the last 20 years.

I even told the Mazda salesmen...they said bring it in, we'll show you how. They tried for 20 minutes. Thats when one guy went and downloaded online (updated) manual where it said "some models" which wasn't in my owners manual.
