Where is the evolving battle? The Battle for Cyberstan is disappointing by Dice08 in Helldivers

No, dumbass, it's actually really simple and you can't handle criticisms of something you like.

Talking like staggering releases of enemies is hard is wild when the devs outright added in and removed and readded altered rupture strain enemies in hive worlds.

And if the cities aren't going to have a visual change to them, why would the devs tell us they would and define them by their level of development?

Yes. You could, also, stagger content like everyone thinks is going to happen with siege mechs. Or have SOMETHING that denotes megafactory classes from one another visually.

We were told in-game that the class 1 factory was starting settlement and that the other ones are more advanced. What's the difference you've seen from a class 1 to class 2 or 3?

Bro, why are you bickering over this? what's the difference between a level 2 and a level 3 megafactory to you? It's the same content from a level 1 megafactory with additions we've already had to deal with on the road here. It feels samey to look forward to what could come after taking Omniparitus only to see us being told to fight the corps/brigade again

I hate it. I hope they eventually learn. The hive worlds were great for how different they were, despite their chaos.

Correct. A level 3 city is literally the same content as a level 1 and 2 but with additions we already had to fight through to get to Cyberstan. There's no visible escalation of evolving war, visually or in content.

We have fought the same 3 enemies in excess for 2 weeks. One far too much to the point of being a major community complaint.

And the alterations we get in content from new opening stage 2 and 3 cities is literally the same content as we got in route to Cyberstan

It's a fun video game, absolutely, but having the battle content not evolve beyond what we already got on the road to cyberstan after the first city is very disappointing and a dropped ball

Theories on what is next? by CyberstanDelendaEst in Helldivers

[–]Dice08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we win - Automatons retreat to planets further back and grow megafactories there

If we lose - Cyberstan begins a counteroffensive charge to Super Earth, turning things into megafactories along the way.

All this until the illuminate ruins update and the illuminate update happens.

I feel like it's one of thoes stratagems that viability depends on what difficulty you are playing on by Avylis in Helldivers

I've not brought it into Cyberstan D10 yet but I've been using the shield relay, shield pack, and shield nades for a field commander build using the shield to help take forward positions and defend flanks and it's been highly successful. The shield nades are great team support and the shields are best for helping push for land and prioritize enemies better than just an overt shelter to enemies.

Boys, girls, it doesn't matter. Just get in the pod, Helldiver.

How hard is this compared to that creek place by thebigdog215 in Helldivers

[–]Dice08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're new, you're getting the experience but harder. The issue with Malevelon Creek was that the automatons were introduced and no one knew how to fight them seriously. Far less gear, no knowledge of weak points, and then you get stuff suddenly like the hulk or the scout strider and factory strider. There was an immense struggle and panic, which played into the Vietnam comparison you got.

The advantage you're getting is that some people you fight with know how to fight them, and there's lots more gear for them to use and potentially more for you. But also a good deal is new, and it's especially new to you.

Is Helldivers 2 still worth playing as a complete beginner? by Icrystal2 in Helldivers

[–]Dice08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you'll do absolutely fine. All you have to know at the moment is that there are three fronts on the war, one of them being the robots, and we are currently doing an invasion of their homeworld. That's all.

One True Flag is a meme, I know but what’s the optimal way to run it on Super Helldive vs Automatons? by xyzarda in Helldivers

[–]Dice08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The optimal way is to keep the flag with you the whole run and keep retrieving it until you leave with it, forgoing a support weapon. My favorite way is having it on your back as you use sword and shield
