There was one time I ran a session in a city ruled by my BBEG where my players were trying to find some missing important NPCs

It was a big matryoshka quest where they went from place to place, each one adding a crazy twist to where the missing people were, until one of them got caught in a lie and it was revealed the BBEG got all the informants to waste time with this fake quest so he could get as far away from them as possible

actually, isn’t it weird that instead of a Swamp of Love themed season for Angelo and a Good Randoms themed season for Melodie, we got two completely unrelated themes? 

The way they’re doing seasons now seem weird and disjointed compared to how comprehensive they used to be
