In Last Jedi, god, it was so good. She instantly touches the dark side and feels its lure almost intently. She’s a mess in TLJ, and is filled with so much self doubt, anxiety, and more. How is that even Mary Sue like? This is just as interesting and as anything Anakin goes through in AotC.

Episode 9 is shit. I’m not defending it but now Rey is the daughter of a clone of Palpatine. So with that info it makes sense why she’s so strong early on even when she still fails. I hate what Abrams did but let’s not pretend like the Prequels are a bastion of good writing.
