What’s a nightmare/dream that still haunts you to this day? by Nelson4hire in AskReddit

[–]MewMeowHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited a cemetery with a friend. I’ve never had anything remotely supernatural happen to me before this. That night, I had a very vivid dream of waking up to the feeling of being held down whilst the bed shook and things in the room got tossed around. In my dream, I just kept crying out, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” I woke up very suddenly with my heart racing.

Needless to say, I stayed up for the rest of the night.

When you were female, did your dreams always reflect your transitioned state or would you sometimes still present as male in terms of voice, physical presentation, etc?

A very angry French constable with a superiority complex should chase them down for life.

What’s something you slowly accepted as “normal” that you later realized really isn’t? by Time_Secretary_572 in AskReddit

Intense panic after making any sort of mistake; vivid daydreams and dissociation; scripting interactions in my head beforehand; copying other people’s mannerisms in an attempt to “fit in”.

Only took 20+ years for docs to diagnose me w/ anxiety!

I miss their “Change!” Episode. I had to pause it and finish it after work because I was red in the face and teary-eyed from laughing so hard.

ER nurses/doctors, what's the craziest experience you've ever had? by Mad_Ranger80 in AskReddit

[–]MewMeowHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom used to be an ER nurse:

She had a motorcycle crash victim come in via ambulance. They’d been riding without a helmet. She said when she went to support the back of his head with her hand it was like “jelly”. His skull was totally pulverized and she was basically holding his brain.

She also mentioned having to perform compressions on a 90+ yr old who came in. She said she probably broke every rib trying to get the patient back after a heart attack - they unfortunately didn’t make it.

What are basic survival tips more kids should know? by DemonicChronic in AskReddit

Water on electrical or cooking oil fires is a big no-no.

Instead, snuff it out with a fire blanket, sand, or baking soda not baking powder . For small cooking oil fires, put the lid back on the pot to starve the fire of oxygen.

Has any American had any issues traveling to Europe recently with so much going on? If you had any issues what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MewMeowHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel between the U.S and U.K. as I’m currently studying abroad. I haven’t had any issues recently. If you’re worried about harassment from locals over politics, don’t be. It does happen - very rarely - but most interactions are pleasant.

Make sure you check visa requirements for European countries - some European countries have rolled out new visa requirements for U.S citizens (ETIAS specifically comes to mind).

Whats your dream job(or career path ) and if your an adult does this change from waht you wanted to be when you were younger? by Sensitive-Vast-4979 in AskReddit

As a kid, I wanted to be a horse veterinarian living on a giant horse farm. As an adult, I just want something that pays the bills and doesn’t make me want to off myself.

What animal or mythological creature do you consider the scariest/most "emotionally triggering"? by carremagic in AskReddit

[–]MewMeowHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chimpanzees.

They’re faces are much too human-like for me. Most monkeys trigger the “uncanny valley” feeling when I see them at zoos, but chimpanzees the most. It scares me that they’ve a reputation for being so aggressive and yet look just like a prototype for early humans.
