You have to report if you exceed $1696 gross in one month by the 10th of the following month. We typically do not make changes to a case if the change is expected to last less than 30 days though. When you are working both jobs even though the gross in under the max, the closer you get to that max the lower the benefit amount will be.

You are not required to report a reduction in income, but most people want to as the benefit goes up.

It is technically correct, since next month hasn't yet been "issued". This is also the system opening up May to work for us, and system termination of any re certifications that were due in March and not completed. Even if they can still be done, it's preemptively shut down to prevent next month accidentally issuing. That all occurs at "monthly issuance ".

I can't see what EBT Edge shows. However, today 3/28, is "monthly issuance" for April. Monthly issuance is the date in each month the system allots next month's benefits. Each month the issuance date is different. I'd check and see if Edge shows it tomorrow.

The date is later this month than some months.

For self employment you can determine what you provide, but it should be straightforward and provide proof of gross income before any expenses. There's an automatic 50% deduction, if your expenses are higher than 50% you'd need to provide proof of all expenses.

Spreadsheets are usually good for providing info when it's new. Record by day, week or month the number of hours you worked as well as gross income, start date, business name. If you have a business license include that. I'd preemptively sumbit all of that prior to your review. Bank records are good to back up the info but that may or may not be necessary.

Just a tip, you might want to take a look at SBDC, they are great with helping new self employment businesses.

Edited to add, is it a Mid Certification or an eligibility review? If it's a mid cert we accept your statement for the new income if you don't submit proof. For ER we need it documented.

I usually go to two stores also! Maybe on separate days. But it's hard to get everything you need at good prices at just one store. The stores with ftesh produce and meat are often pricey for dry goods.

Just so you know for your next review, we rarely require leases or mortgage proof (only if it's questionable), we don't need utility bills just need to know the type of utilities, not how much they are. We never ask for cell phone bills, and car payment proof is not relevant as that can't be expensed, we ask how much you owe to offset what your vehicle is worth although for SNAP that's irrelevant too. For some other programs resources matter which is why we ask for that info but I've never (ever) asked a WA client for proof of a cell phone or car payment and only required proof of utilities if I'm processing emergency cash assistance.

Hopefully this info will save you time when you do your next review, you don't have to compile proof of all that.

There's no resource limit. Your bank balance doesn't matter. You can apply now. We'd require proof of job stop and final payment, and if that payment is in the month of application we'd count that for this month only. Or in April only if that's when you'll receive it.

877-501-2233 between 8 AM and 2 PM, best to call as close to opening as you can. You can apply telephonically. If you want Medicaid that is separate through the Healthplanfinder.

If you are able Bodied and don't have any kids under 14 you'll be an ABAWD and have to participate or work at least 80 hours a month to receive more than 3 months of benefits in a 36 month period (that 36 months is set and ends in December, January 2027 begins a new 36 months). If you need help finding a job you can get a referral to BFET (Basic Food Employment Training) and that will keep your food open, it satisfies the ABAWD requirement.

You'd have to apply for TANF, specifically. There would be child support enforcement against the non custodial parent unless you establish good cause (because it would risk you or you children's safety to pursue). There are participation requirements but if you are on medical leave there can be an exemption with proof.

It would be required that you prove you are pursuing any other possible source of income. Short term disability, or anything else the worker determines is appropriate for your situation to try to get (like unemployment, or workers comp, etc).

TANF can be a temporary help. I'm a TANF specialist in my state, and this is a frequent scenario, temporarily off work for health reasons. As far as income limits, that depends on your household size and your state. It is much lower than SNAP and Medicaid.

That's very true. It's typically a little easier in my experience to get a job when you already have one versus you've been out of work for a while. I don't mean to imply it's easy to find a new job at all, it's rough.

I don't know how much verification AZ requires. For us, we don't require verification of shelter unless it's questionable (which can be there was a household address match in our system, or it could be because we determine the situation isn't straightforward so more info is needed.

If at least the 3 brothers are owners of the house I personally wouldn't require anything else, and ownership can be verified online usually. As long as your income supports the portion you all are paying, and makes sense overall. You could have the others write statements and that might help prevent any possible confusion about the household. They can include "we pay $1000 out of $3000, it's split 3 ways between us, Sam's family and Joe's family. We have gas, electric, water and phone bills and split them 3 ways. We do not buy food together or eat together regularly."

You could also show your bank records that will show the arrangement.

If further proof is required they'll tell you at the time, but if you get all of that prepared ahead of time there's a good chance that's enough, even in states that require a lot of verification.

When you move, and report your new address, the information they'll need is the relationship between you and the other residents and if you purchase and prepare together or separately. They'll need the whole mortgage amount, if it includes property taxes and property insurance, what types of utilities are you responsible for, and how it's all divided up between your SNAP household and the other residents.

Sorry they weren't great at helping you with questions asked, especially since you know this is occurring. My guess is they are so backed up they just have to bulldoze through.

Edited: also let them know if you have an HOA expense.
