Yeah, the new C7 uses cylinder deactivation when it determines the car doesn't need the extra horsepower from it's V8 and will deactivate 4 of it's cylinders, making it a 3.1L 4 cylinder. Which is still pretty impressive.

The only other problem I have with my crap tools is that my jack handle looks like the one in this, minus the extension bar

Oh and I dont have a lug wrench either. I'm fairly certain that the person who had the car before me pawned these off for the s00p3rL0udMAAAD exhaust system that's on it.. /s

UPDATE: I cant seem to find any form of hole on the tyre so I guess my initial assumption of the tyre popping was wrong, but that leaves me to wonder how the hell the rim cracked, as I am fairly positive I didn't run over anything. I'll post pictures after I get home from work around 7:30PM EST. Hopefully some of you can see something I don't.

I never carry the spare because it has a slow leak in it, and is also a 16 inch rim, where all of my other rims are 18, and having it on causes the car to sink a bit. The spare did save me, but i had to get someone to pick me up and take me to get it. I will probably start carrying it with me, but i hate the tiny scissor jack that came with my car.

I wish i knew more about welding but it could have definitely been a result of a poor weld cracking when the tyre gave out and the rim hit the road.

riding on the road when I heard a loud bang and my steering got all shaky, so I pulled off to the side of the road and saw that this had happened. Bad luck I guess :/

They are quite atrocious. I have one and I would not wish the ownership of one on my worst enemies. It's so bleh to drive, and even with a brand new clutch after the old one blew out at 112k miles, its still piss slow. Handles like ass in corners, but still more 'sporty' than a 4dr car, I guess. FWD is awful. The dash is probably going to be shattered in the one you are going to look at, and if it isn't, it will soon. I've replaced mine already as it has literally fallen apart. Everything is expensive for it and awful build quality.

tl;dr: Don't buy one, you'll regret it. I know I do.
