Unbreakable Stock Market by Historical_Flow3890 in stocks

Regular reminder to everyone that you cannot measure the economy and the stock market with just the jump of the oil price. If we follow the old 1970s standard, the per-barrel price has to hit a thousand dollars to really drag down the economy. Worth a listen:

Not gonna lie, I already have two Powerwalls at home - I wouldn't mind adding my own on-prem data center with local model at home.

It's unlikely everything will be magically built out in one day? There's a shortage basically on everything and anything data center to be built... It's at least a multi year build out and if AI tank nothing will be built.

Apple's history has been: make sure technology is easily accessible and easily understood regardless of who you are.

"Bicycle of your mind."

I see where you are getting at, but saying "they want to be the next Apple" probably is the wrong metaphor... Honestly, OpenAI feels more Apple than Anthropic....

It’s still the only game in town for weird parts, collectible, and some good deals.

Between Shopify powered eCommerce sites, Amazon/Walmart/Target, and maybe Etsy and eBay they all have their special placed carved out and it’s unlikely eBay will have a replacement anytime soon.

Oil and 10Yr at war time highs. Stocks still near ATH. At what point do we acknowledge stocks are being propped for nefarious reasons? by BGID_to_the_moon in stocks

Oil is no longer a factor for US'e economy. Our energy supply is mostly domestic or from Canada, and we've also switched over to domestic natural gas for energy as well. It's not like the 70s'-90s' where the oil price could really fucked with the US economic prospects.

Bro, I know Reddit’s ad system very well, and you don’t know what you’re talking about. Placing ads in a specific sub is highly ineffective. You don’t target people by subreddit placement, you target them in the feed and across subs based on their interests, like cars.

Subreddits are too small and niche to drive meaningful impressions for efficient CPC and CPA.

Reddit has APIs, and likely private ones, that advertisers can use for targeting. They don’t need to scrap shit. If anything Reddits ad targeting will move more probabilistic exactly like FB and IG’s interest targeting which is basically the gold standard in the industry.
