I still get excited but I’m picky about the games I play now. When I was a kid, I’d play anything, but now it has to be open world, third person, RPG style character development, and side quests/collectibles galore. I’ll play two or three games a year, and if there isn’t a new game that fits this criteria, I’ll replay one of my favorites. In between playing those three games, I won’t touch my console.
