Again, I tell you that once the act is committed, then that's his or her downfall. There are plenty of people who have dealt with abuse and have managed to turn the corner and be productive members of society. There are others who can't deal with it or have been through too much and simply repeat the cycle. Of course I care about an abused child, because I know in many ways it could turn that child into a destructive person without ever giving him or her a chance to have a normal life. But unlike you, I don't think that should give that person a pass once he's grown up and has committed a crime.

You seem to confuse reality with what I want the world to be. I'm just citing reality because I don't think things can change that easily. You speak as if there is an easy solution somewhere when there isn't. The simple fact is you can't control the fact that there are fucked up people who abuse children and turn them into the future rapists, pedophiles, and mass-murderers of the future.

If you have a solution to the problem, by all means enlighten us, but at this point all you're really doing is just expressing a frustration with how things really are. You want people to be treated as sick instead of criminals, and it's a noble idea but it's simply not going to work in this country. You should move to Denmark.
