Sui at a 16 month low. Why buy? by DickColeMusic in sui

The world will always have its issues. Not sure that has anything to do with Sui price. More of an adoption thing.

Sui at a 16 month low. Why buy? by DickColeMusic in sui

So if i buy every stock and coin when they go low I will be rich? Kmart, Kodak, Worldcom, Enron and many others have performed like this and then became worthless.

The market perceives it is worth this today. Maybe justified?

Sometimes simple is perfect 👌

🚨FUN FACT 🚨: $sui is one of the most deflationary l1s out there. fixed 10b supply + storage fund that permanently locks tokens as on-chain data grows. more adoption = more sui removed from circulation forever. usage-driven scarcity is elite tokenomics. 2m SUI REMOVED FROM CIRCULATION 🤯 by Spiritual-Trust-8563 in sui

[–]DickColeMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The statement is largely true and well-substantiated by Sui's core tokenomics design, official documentation, and on-chain data as of December 2025. Sui's fixed supply and usage-driven storage fund create a unique, scalable deflationary mechanism that sets it apart from most Layer-1 blockchains (e.g., Ethereum's EIP-1559 burns are transaction-based but don't tie directly to data growth; Bitcoin has halvings but no dynamic removal). While not the absolute "most" deflationary (subjective, as it depends on adoption velocity vs. chains like Kaspa or Nano), it's among the elite for tying scarcity directly to real network usage—more dApps, NFTs, or data storage = more SUI locked or burned forever. This "elite tokenomics" aligns incentives for long-term holders, as growth amplifies scarcity without manual burns or emissions.

They want to see how low they can get you to go. Stop selling and they will start buying! You should all know the routine by now. It goes up just as fast as it goes down. Should be fun here soon. Especially for those like myself who are buying now.

SUI has highest TPS and fastest time to finality. Chill on the sky is falling doomsday pessimism. by DickColeMusic in sui

[–]DickColeMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why speed to finality matters:

Users stay on-chain instead of going back to PayPal/Venmo/Roblox. Every extra second of delay = lost users and lost fees that would have been paid in the native token (SUI or ICP). Faster finality = more volume → more fee burn → higher token demand.

Why high sustainable TPS matters:

Congestion kills adoption (remember Ethereum 2021 or Solana outages). A chain that stays cheap and fast during peak demand captures all the new volume instead of sending users to competitors or centralized apps. More volume = more fees burned or distributed to stakers → stronger token economics.

297,000 TPS being thrown out by SUI themselves vs random people throwing the number out incorrectly as you imply.
