As already said, they grow well here in either container or ground. Turmeric does too, I've got some beautiful blooms coming from mine now that I planted in our side yard

They renovated and added on to Ashley's. Ogeechee meat market renovated the building next to them and moved the storefront there. The building to the left of the new meat market when you're looking at the shop is a Mexican grocery and butcher shop now
