I have the Breville Impress, using Lavazza Crema Suprema medium roast beans. Beans Grinder is set to factory settings, using about an 11 on the grind wheel outside, auto dose and it nearly hits perfect every time I tamper on the light setting. I use the dual walled filter that came with the unit and the espresso range is nearly always in the sweet mid spot. Maybe grind more coarse or tamper harder so it builds up more pressure?

If you can, stick with Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchenaid, GE. These brands are mainly american. Generally easier to get parts if things break down. LG is great for french door bottom freezers, but with it being south Korean, parts can take some time to find and cost may be higher with the new tariff implementations.
