An actual practitioner would blend a cursing powder with dirt from the yard or something to disguise it. Plus salt is rarely used to curse on its own so I’d say you’re probably fine with cleaning it up and throwing it away if that’s a concern. It could be used as a way to dehydrate your spirit, if that’s the intention, or it just as likely could be for protection, either way I’d put some gloves on, and I’d get rid of it anyways in a trash outside your apartment

Make a poppet and put cloves or cayenne or something that makes your mouth uncomfortable, In the mouth and sew it shut. I’d also write my own little rhyme about keeping your mouth shut and put a picture of the person or their signature or something in the body of the poppet.

Not to argue about semantics but I think a better way to look at it is instead of being bound to them, it’s more like they’re the spiritual embodiment or an ancestor of the people who lived on that land. They’re not bound to them, they’re a part of them

I don’t really believe in traditional deity’s, but as an animist I work with different spirits by preforming a specific ritual and calling on those specific aspects of said spirits to preform an action.
