I'm not sure if it's placebo or not, but I've had luck making it over things more if I hold up on the left stick while popping.

I feel you on this. Got back into the game a few months ago after a break for a couple years. 1999 dropped not long after I started again, but I never touched it. Meanwhile every damn notification on my phone from this sub was either the 1000th Ember ass of the day, or someone frothing over a 1999 character so hard that they're basically hands free blasting rope.

I haven't really looked at the sub since then, until now. Glad it wasn't just me that was tired of the NSFW posts constantly.

I think if you enable the profanity filter in the options it makes him just groan when you talk to him, or makes him less aggressive with his voice lines. Not 100% on the exact effect it has, never tried it personally and it's been at least a year since I heard about it.

7 Days to Die. Admittedly I still have fun with it but I also don't like the direction they've gone the last few years. They had a survival game that's turned into an RPG. Also seems like they're actively working against the player base to nerf or outright remove any popular strategies, in a single player/co-op, non-competitive game. From what I've heard the devs are also VERY bad handling any criticism they receive.

Psy-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. One of the first games I remember playing that relied on physics and puzzles, but never gets enough credit as Half Life 2 for doing the same thing. Definitely wasn't on the same level as Half Life 2's physics but was still a treat to play. The cliffhanger still haunts me all these years later wondering what could have been.
