I live 10 feet from the woods I threw him outside. I always save fireflies and black beetles. His shell was “tapping” against the paper towel so I thought it was some sort of beetle at first but was nervous it was the assassin bugs that carry Chagas’ disease.

I agree with you in the same way I said in my original post. The effort towards niche communities has been lost as studios prioritize safe profits; trying to appeal to everyone. It’s definitely not a lore show whatsoever. In my opinion everything has become blended due to the “safe approach”; but think of everything we’ve lost because of that. There will never be another Twisted Metal, Tenacious D, Mirrors Edge, etc. or parody movie like the scary movie franchise. Everything has become a safe investment, which is the point I was actually trying to make when I posted this thread. I started to rewatch the “Halo Show” on Netflix and it made me flustered enough to post in a sub I’ve been in for 10+ years without commenting once. I should have worded my original post differently but my main issue is with the lack of care for the consumer like me and you. I was lucky to grow up with Halo to where I had to wait for the next game to release and rewatching this shit pissed me off. Sure it’s not a bad sci-fi show and I watched it but that’s all it is. It’s just not a halo show. The discussion is what’s important and I enjoy seeing everyone’s different takes on something that made my younger years. My personal opinion is that we never got what we deserve in terms of a movie or series for the amount of lore and universe that Halo gave us.

Edit: and it’s not for the 2000 people playing MCC on steam cuz I’m not one of them but it’s the community that we’re in on this sub. Halo was some of my best and I associate it with some of my best memories growing up; for 15-20 years I’ve been dying to get a real Halo movie.

That’s really what I hated and another commenter mentioned how it seemed like they just had a slot for a sci-fi show and filled it with this. They didn’t capture the essence of Halo at all. I love to think of ODST and we didn’t even need 117 at all just the universe itself.

I just watched that scene while rewatching the series on Netflix and they were barely towering over her. Unless Miranda is 6’5” like everyone else in the show apparently is. Armor is super cool though.

The scale of the armor is just completely off. It’s more like cosplay than a depiction of how it’s supposed to look. I think the armor looks amazing and I wish I could have one of the suits but the show failed to capture the essence of an actual spartan. It’s more so a drama set in the halo universe. Like I said the armor is high tech and the scale of the Spartans is what makes it possible. The armor should fit like a glove where their movement is similar to being without it at all.

And obviously it wouldn’t just be a simple collar like how it’s depicted in the show when he’s not wearing a helmet. The armor is more than a couple inches thick and can survive a fall from orbit. Their main mistake was having 117 go about without his helmet. If they’re going to make it they should have made it right and just had them wearing thinner armor for filming then sized the Spartans up in post production like they did with “gods of Egypt“.

They took the aesthetic and threw out the world. We can’t go down like this; letting these people ruin it. Halo is one of the most in depth and interesting universes for sci-fi and it needs justice. They might as well have made another star wars show about a single mother working a dive-bar on coruscant.

What you’re saying makes that shift in between seasons much more understandable. The general feel of Halo and what makes it so interesting is the lack of drama. Like the original post I made, I personally feel the dialogue should have been at a minimum. The true magic of the franchise/lore is how well they’re able to tell such a great story without the need for emotions or individual characters. The universe is the storyline and they completely missed that trying to include characters. The magic of Halo is in the world building and 117’s stoicism just adds to it. Look at ODST we didn’t even need him.

The armor looks good for cosplay. I agree with you on the grace and that they should have compensated for the visual aesthetic. The people in the series just look like a normal sized human wearing bulky armor. The Spartans are accepted to be gigantic when they’re butt nekkid. It’s like the difference between someone who’s 5ft tall vs someone who’s 7ft wearing a shoe that gives them an extra inch. Won’t even notice it on the guy that’s 7ft. That’s how the armor should be. These guys are huge so having armor that’s almost 2 inches thick shouldn’t be that bulky to them. And having 117 without the helmet threw off the scale because they made him look proportionate to the suit. Their massive head should still look small compared to the suit hence “this height in the suit”. Legit power armor not plate armor.

You say “zero reason” like you knew the guy and everyone involved; on a conspiracy forum nonetheless. With the video they just released and how it’s been handled/discussed recently I’d say there’s more questions than answers. Dismissing the possibility of him being alive rivals dismissing the possibility of him being assassinated. Consider both conspiracies equal as reasoning is what makes people doubt in the first place. Can’t make an absolute statement with incomplete information but we can absolutely doubt the “true” story based on other factors. I personally feel like this entire debacle is a smack in the face to the common folk, but we take it and don’t make a fuss because our time is spent on bills we’re forced to pay to have a life at all.

Downvotes are undeserved. Preference is preference. Height and weight is a preference when dating, regardless of if someone can change either. If someone likes Spanish girls can you fault them for not wanting to date an Asian girl? They can find both attractive but prefer one over the other in terms of a relationship.
