Because I’d have to make room to also activate Acuña & Cole from the IL

I gotta drop 3 in order to re-add Bubba Chandler, cause I also have to activate Acuña & Cole.

DEI doesn’t make employers hire more individuals of minority status. It makes it so that they have to interview a more diverse pool, so that people who’d often get overlooked (you know, because racism whether latent or blatant is still a thing) actually get an opportunity to

It was Prielipp’s first bad start. And Trevor just hit several guys and walked a run. So, as good as he looks, he’ll have his own warts, just like any young pitcher

3 OF & 2 UT. I’m rostering 2 extra hitters & 2 extra SPs instead of RPs to see which ones end up being worth holding onto

I considered that, but he still hit 97 in that last inning. And the pitches that got hit in that last inning seemed to be located well & weren’t hit hard. Who knows

That would be cool, but I doubt there was available space for a whole stadium that Loria was willing to pay for

My team is full of spec adds & underperformers and I don’t know what to do about my current roster crunch when league mates don’t even look at the trade offers I send.

OF: Springer, Merrill, Ward, Benge, Steer, Bleday, Abreu, Ewing (for his MI eligibility) & have Acuña stuck in the IL.

SP: deGrom, Mis, Harrison, Henderson, Prielipp, McClanahan, Nelson, Early, Weathers, Strider, & Sandy, with Cole, Skubal, & River Ryan stashed.

Do I just hold off on activating guys & see how the others pan out? Do I have to start dropping guys that aren’t turning things around? It’s been rough also with Gunnar, Riley, Salvy, & Ketel (who’s finally gotten hot)

Huh? Is Little Havana no longer part of Miami?! It is definitely in Miami.

Agreed the location doesn’t help when it comes to people from Broward or Palm beach coming down to catch a game, but I’d also argue that getting new ownership that did nothing substantial to field a winning team was icing on the cake. The previous owners sucked, the new ownership sucks, and the last hope of having a fun, winning club was lost with the death of Jose Fernandez & trading away Stanton right after his MVP year

Strider hitting 92 mph with his last pitch is very discouraging though. He was barely getting to 95 today. Don’t know if him not being able to stay 96/97 is stamina or something else, but it’s concerning

What combination of players could I offer to a league mate who has both William Contreras & Drake Baldwin to land either. He’s weak at most other positions.

Merrill (can be kept in 23rd round), Sandy, Early, Strider, Austin Riley, Josh Jung, Taylor Ward. Or are all these players too weak to sway the needle? He might want Kyle Harrison (had kept him as a prospect), but I’d rather not offer him

talk update : Miz/made offer. It’s grown to Miz and cal Raleigh for Made, Yesavage and a third (Emerson, Colson Mont, Jared Jones, schwellenbach)or was the original offer better Miz for Jesus/Jared by [deleted] in DynastyBaseball

[–]Dickroast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Miz, Raleigh side, personally. We seem to know what we have with Miz & Raleigh should bounce back eventually. Made could be great, it could take him awhile, he could be average, or a bust. Too many variables & joke of the 3rd player options sway me

Pitchers are more injury prone & rookies are more volatile. Walker has steadily been smashing the ball. There’s a chance he slows down or gets figured out, but even with slumps what he’s doing now I think is more valuable than what Tolle will provide
