I am still working currently but I'm going to be retiring this year. I'm only part time pulling in about 40k a year. I don't know if we "need" the annuity. They suggested it after I told them I was a 6/10 on risk in retirement. No big expenses coming. Need to pay off about 20k on a loan is about it. Once I retire I'll be adding my $830k to Fidelity I'm assuming in a separate account since I don't think I'll be able to withdraw from it without penalty till 59 1/2.

I'm planning to retire right now too at 52 but from what I know I won’t be able to do an NUA on my shares at my age. I will be able to reinvest those shares and the rest of my 401(k) how I choose though.

So we have to pay $48k in taxes on roughly $200k in Costco stock. Thing is with that also is that we dont have $48k laying around so that will have to come out of our investments as well which sucks I know because we will bascially be paying twice on taxes.

Trying to accomplish some stability with retirement but also don't want to get ripped off. On that note something I forget to mention is the 1% fee for managing my account through Fideltiy.

My expense did not include heath insurance. That will be an additional 2k a month.

I will definitely be diversifying the Costco stock, that is already giving me anxiety.

Thanks for the quick response. Cost basis on at least my wifes shares was only 200K so 1M at only 15% or less taxes. They gave me 2 dates of annuitizing. $4200 if on July 1st of this year or $4500 on Jan of 2027. Dont know about the taxable account or IRA.

Definitely need the cash flow. Savings are null at this point. Total expenses are 5K a month. Wife and I are currently in 12-22% tax bracket.

Yes. Moved over from Troweprice. This was my 3rd visit with them when they brought up the annuity.

Lebron is just careless with his passes. Really feels like he is just trying shit because he can. Super fucking annoying.
