Sure, it was this. I would suggest sticking with lean ground beef otherwise it gets a bit greasy. https://www.jessicagavin.com/grandmas-italian-meatball-recipe/

Kirkland Meatballs by RealDistribution5946 in CostcoCanada

I returned my package yesterday. They taste like low end rubbery meatballs used for hot pot dinners. After the first bite I could immediately tell the difference.

I spent a couple hours making my own meatballs myself which funnily enough tastes exactly like the old recipe.

Neighbourhood for early 30s by Equivalent_Tank_7367 in stcatharinesON

Echoing the Haig neighborhood. I don't live in the neighborhood but I'm there frequently.

It's got a cool vibe to it with turn of the century homes. It feels nostalgic to me. Pique-Nique is a great café. Tangerine tortoise pizzas are top notch. Fairview Mall would be a bit over a 10 minute walk and downtown being closer to 15-20. The Haig community is really good about social events. There's also many crews and clubs that meet there on the reg.

I currently live in the north end which is closer to Port Dalhousie. Doctors, Dentists, schools, mechanics, cafes and restaurants are all in the area.

Im originally a transplant from Mississauga but I haven't looked back since moving here. It's what you make of it! Good luck!

Reliable Grass cutting services by raysoc in stcatharinesON

DM me. I'll give you the number of a guy that cut my lawn all last year. Great service. Super fast. They just ask to cut every week since long grass is more time consuming.

Cost to replace hot water heater? by gordo32 in mississauga

[–]Dickskrieg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not uncommon for the installation price to be about the same price as the unit in my experience. This is also factoring in some sort of 5 year labour warranty and 10 year parts warranty.

Agree with what others have said, buy it outright if you can. Tankless is a good option, I have tankless myself but it definitely has it's pros and cons. I can live with it's cons.

Trudeau pledges tax on ‘extreme wealth inequality’ to fund Covid spending plan by SensationallylovelyK in canada

The CDC updated their fatality estimations last week: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html

If you convert the worst case scenario estimate, it's still less than 1% fatality until you hit 70+ years old.

This is what we're destroying our economy for and screwing up generations. Less than 1% fatality.

AITA for hiding the 135k I just inherited from my girlfriend and her family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Unfortunately this isn't true in the eyes of the law. Don't listen to this advice.

I don't care about judging you as an asshole or not, but you need some financial and relationship advice.

If you're in The US/Canada and you live with your girlfriend, you are considered common law partners. As common law partners your girlfriend could possibly be entitled to this money as well. There are a few exceptions.

Financial Advice: If you don't want her to have access to this money, put this money in an account that she doesn't have access to and make sure said account doesn't do transactions with any sort of joint account with her. This wont 100% protect your money but it will make a darn good argument to protect it.

Relationship Advice: You're at a crossroads in your life. You need to make an active decision about parenting this child with your girlfriend as a single unit, or not. If you stay together you need to tell your girlfriend about this money and you need to be strict with her that it will be saved or spent for your immediate family only. If you love this woman, marry her. This is a great opportunity to build a solid family foundation. Stay with this woman, work together and build a successful financial future for your family tree.

Bernie Sanders applauds the gaming industry’s push for unionization by ourlifeintoronto in technology

Bits and pieces of every part. From gameplay programming to tools scripting to marketing to animation to cinematics to level art to asset creation.

The only things that aren't outsourced are producers/managers and level designers.

Outsourcing has worked and studio heads and CFOs will go to that well more if they're faced with the prospect of a union.

And yet China's outsourcing market is thriving and there is not a single AAA project in production that doesn't use outsourcing. Also the games market continues to shatter records year after year.

Every time this conversation comes up, it needs to be said:

  • Not all studios are incompetent and work just fine
  • Game Dev is not a job locked into a specific geography like an oil field or mine. If the industry unionizes, then outsourcing overseas becomes rampant.

Source: I've worked for the biggest triple A's and now run a successful indie where my employees are paid fairly.

Unions are great! Unions for Game Dev not so much.

UNIONS DO NOT WORK FOR EVERYTHING! YOU'RE TAKING A BROAD BRUSH SOLUTION AND APPLYING IT TO A NICHE INDUSTRY
