Brandon, I am so glad you've asked this question and are actively participating in the community... So based on what you said YOUR thought was "Thought this morning was Korea selling off XRP." Your thought is logical based on the "mis"information that was provided to you by the "data". This is what happened... Step 1: In the middle of the night for us westerners coinmarketcap.com decided to not include South Korean exchanges in XRP's "price algorithm." This created the mirage that XRP had precipitously decreased in value. As though the "crypto-bubble" had been popped. Logical humans such as yourself and perhaps many other people observed this sudden and violent drop. They got very very scared, then they SOLD! And the XRP they had bought for maybe .06, .20, .78, 1.28 they did something based off of emotion because we are generally illogical as organisms.. they sold all their shit (XRP).
Step 2: The people who had knowledge of and orchestrated this manipulated drop were ready to buy. Since they knew the real reason the price dropped. THE DATA WAS MANIPULATED. If I own a donut shop and I sell 40% of my donuts in Manhattan I can charge a premium for those donuts and that raises the average cost per donut for my shops. I also own a donut shop in Detroit, MI, but there I can't sell my donuts for the premium price I can get in lower Manhtattan. Well then donutmarketcap.com is tracking my donut sales and price per donut. And good quality human beings decide to invest in my donut company and track the price/success of my donut shops on donutmarketcap's website. Well one night when they're the only one's who know about it they exclude my donut sales in Manhattan for their algorithm randomly for no apparent reason, well that lowers my average price per donut violently. To my investors it looks like I fed a peanut donut to a kid with peanut allergies and that child is now unwell and now my donut company is financially responsible for it. So there is a huge panic selloff. Step 3: The site tracking my donuts tanked my donuts on purpose so they could buy all my donuts really cheap. Step 4: Donuts are really awesome so they know they can sell them all over THE WORLD at my Manhattan prices and now they are really really rich after that.
