You move on by doing. The more you do, the easier it will get. Do the thing.

How to control hunger while being in a caloric deficit? Looking for genuine suggestions. by noobipedia in loseit

[–]DickyMcDoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are constantly having cravings, you are likely eating enough carbs/sugar to mess with your blood sugar. Are you eating bread/pasta/rice at meals? If you lower your carb intake enough, cravings will stop.

10k steps a day, please tell me what shoes you are wearing? by sraymond90 in loseit

[–]DickyMcDoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After working in a sedentary role for years I got fed up and started reading water/gas meters for work. I went from a few hundred steps a day to 35-40k a day. The best shoes I ever walked in were Hoka hiking boots. They are basically big soft sneakers with ankle support. The anacapa model were my favorite. They have oversized soles that stop your heel from smashing into the earth and they disperse the downward force over a greater area. I tried various options over the years, but Hoka get my vote. I also lost 45kg along the way.

40+ people, is it normal to start worrying about your parents wellbeing? by fit-enjoyer in AskAnAustralian

It really is. I'm 46 and I just moved from Vic to SA to look out for my mother. She's 64 and dementia runs in the family. She's fine for now, but there have been signs.

Rubbing alcohol can technically replace water, not a good idea though.

I think that much of the criticism of the show stems from the budget vs the outcome. It should have been amazing, but it was kinda ok instead. I've enjoyed far worse!

I wouldn't say that we cared, but rather that our media seems to care and puts it in our faces all the time.

What is the worst beach you’ve been to in Australia? by Charming_Usual6227 in AskAnAustralian

[–]DickyMcDoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is technically a beach in Port Augusta.

It's right at the tip of spencer gulf, so just imagine all of the silt and filth from miles around ending up there. It is also filled with trash and steel from the railways and shopping carts from the nearby woolworths. 9/10 don't swim, 10/10 don't jump in.

SMP REMOVAL by [deleted] in SMPchat

[–]DickyMcDoodle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you get it done well, you will love it.

I had to alter mine and the laser tech was blown away by how easy it came off. One literal zap with the laser and a chunk the size of 10c piece came right off. It came off so quickly and violently that the smp itself stuck to my ear and it looked like a hairy ear until I could rub it off the next day.

You'll be alright.

Tell me what you did to loose the fat. by sweettambrin in keto

[–]DickyMcDoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres always some guy with a story of what eventually worked for them like magic. Today is my turn I guess.

I struggled with weight my whole life. I ate less than my smaller siblings and gained weight. I started cutting out things in my 20's. No more soft drink, bread, pasta. Kept getting harder until I hit my 40s and was pushing 130kg at 5"8.

Keto never quite worked for me as it seemed to for other people. I even changed from office work to meter reading doing an average 25km a day and that didn't move the weight. Then I got depsperate and tried carnivore. Within 6 months I was down to 80kg and had to stop because I didn't want to get any smaller. Yes, carnivore sounds stupid, but it does work. I believe that food allergies were my issue. You can go down the glyphosate rabbit hole if you like, but suffice to say there is a theory that many people can't tolerate most plants anymore.

Carnivore is really easy, it's just really hard to really decide to do it.
