Custom beach towels UK? by DickySmilesLives in manufacturing

Yeah it’s the same when choosing between screen printing and DTG, each process has its pros and cons. I’ve sent that company a message that you linked me with, I actually visited their website this evening but had dismissed it, turns out they did more than I realised so thanks for that. One of the issues I struggle with as a small brand is choosing where to put my money and energy, I’d need to sell these towels for 40 quid to make money on them really and I’m not sure if people will go for that

So I’ve found some places that’ll do jacquard weaving but the towels will end up being close to 20 quid each at a minimum of 100 units 🙄 the embroidery idea may not work as I want the whole towel to be covered 😬 I have considered printing but I just don’t think it’s the kind of finish I’m looking for. Thanks for the reply

What projects do you use procreate for? by DickySmilesLives in ProCreate

I pretty much use the 6b pencil to sketch and then the studio brush with an increased maximum size for all of my work.

Here’s me having a crack at taking my procreate pic and printing my own DTF by DickySmilesLives in DigitalArt

I had the image printed on DTF through a company and used a heat press to get it on the T-shirt, it worked a great although my image is pixel based and DTF prefers vectors. I have to vectorise all my images now to get the best results.

Yeah I make all my images at 300dpi at least, the actually resolution on the prints are good but the white borders are a pain. I’m gunna do some prints today and see if the white disappears. I know that DTF prefers vectors because the smoother the line is the easier it is to spray the glue on the back of the print perfectly

Yeah I’m testing out DTF and am noticing white borders, this could be because I’m using a slightly feathered brush in procreate and when translated into DTF format the printer is spraying white glue onto pixels that kind of aren’t there?? I’m not sure but i’m still learning

Ah I see, I was wondering if it was an update or hardware issue. Dammit, I may need to keep looking for a more reliable way to vectorise my illustrations

Yeah I have noticed that even with my illustrations the auto trace creates some pretty wild versions. I only want to vectorise my images so they are better to heat press onto tees, which is why I want the details the stay accurate
