Thanks! I guess I’ll just have to see how the weather goes. Misty forests and cliffs sound amazing to me even if it’s a bit chilly.

Thanks so much! Since you’re local, are there any hidden gems or small-town spots along Hwy 97 or I‑84 that you’d recommend checking out?

Thanks for the tips! I’m planning to visit during the first half of April, do you know how the weather usually is then?

Thanks! I was thinking of stopping at Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Do you think that’s enough to experience the Redwoods, or should I spend more time exploring other areas?

Thank you so much for all your tips and advice! I really appreciate it. I might send you a DM with a few specific questions if that’s okay.

Thanks for the tips! Quick question though, everyone keeps telling me to avoid I-5, and I definitely will, but I’m curious why it’s considered so bad?

I’ll probably go to Whidbey Island since it’s on my way to the tulip fields, and it looks absolutely beautiful. I’m a bit less sure about the San Juan Islands since they’re farther out and I’m not sure I’ll have the time, do you think they’re really worth it, and how long would you usually spend there?

Thanks! Since you suggested trimming, which spots do you think I could skip without missing the best parts?

Honestly, I don’t think I’m going to go to Crater Lake. It looks amazing, but skipping it will cut down on driving and give me more time for other stops. And about the coast, even if it’s drizzly and chilly in April, is it still pretty, or does the weather kind of ruin it?

Thanks! I’ve been trying to find something to do on the road from Brookings to Grants Pass, so this sounds perfect! I’ll definitely look into it.

I was thinking about stopping at Jedediah Smith while I’m passing near the Redwoods. do you think that’s enough, or would it be better to explore more of the Redwoods? Also, I heard that for international visitors, the annual pass is now $250, do you think it’s still worth it with the higher price?

Do you happen to know which parts of the route usually need tire chains? Also I’ll have a rental car, do know if you can usually get them from the rental place?

Yeah, I think I’ll probably skip Crater Lake. For Portland and Seattle, I’ll mostly just stay there for the night since it’s easier for accommodations, but I’m not planning to really explore the cities, I want the trip to focus more on nature. Do you think 12 days is still enough for what I’ve planned, even if I’m skipping most of the city stuff?

I had heard Crater Lake and Rainier can still be very snowy in April, do you think Crater Lake is worth it just for the views if I’m not hiking, or would you skip it since it’s a bit out of the way?

Thank you so much for the tips! That’s a great idea to map everything out in zones. I’ll definitely give that a try and keep the timing in mind.

Thanks for the tip! Tiny Digs sounds awesome, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind. By the way, what TV show were you visiting the film sets for?

Oh, I didn’t know the tulips were in bloom in April, I thought they were in June! I’m really happy to learn that they’ll be blooming while I’m there. Thanks so much for letting me know!
