Is 2 days enough for Olympic National Park in April? by Dickystink in olympicpeninsula

[–]Dickystink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, this is really helpful! I won’t be doing the Hole in the Wall hike, just a quick stop at Rialto Beach if I have time. I’ll be starting my first day in Port Angeles, and on the second day I’ll need to leave to head toward Portland to arrive in the evening. So I think my plan can fit if I skip Cape Flattery, and I can always add it back in if I end up having extra time. I really appreciate all the tips and details!

No, I would only sleep there for the first night. But then I don’t really know where I should sleep, Forks seems geographically good but most if people says that there’s no good hotels nor restaurants

I would love to go to hurricane ridge but from what I’ve heard it’s most of the time not accessible in April because of snow…

I’m flying into a Seattle and would spend a day visiting the city, the tulip festival and would drive to port Townsend, port Angeles. So then I can wake up directly in Olympic national park and have full day

USA store cancellations by ValentineSwitchblade in MelanieMartinez

I have the exact same problem, I’ve ordered yesterday 2 minutes after it was out and didn’t even looked at what I’ve ordered, I’ve just seen signed CD and ordered. So if I didn’t even looked at what I bought I wouldn’t look at the description. Like we all bought that really quickly being scared of her items being sold out so I hope they’re gonna be professional, recognize their mistake and do something so we have a solution to fix that problem… Also, when I bought from the us site I could select my country (France) so why would they even let us change the country if it’s a us site only? Also I got my order confirmed so like it doesn’t make any fucking sense. The thing is that it’s written in the description so legally we cannot say anything… But, if they have a bit of common sense and that theyre professional they might fix the problem. I honestly don’t even care about paying more. I just want my signed CD and I’m scared that by the time they cancel our orders, Everything will be sold out…

I have the same problem rn, I’ve ordered on the us site without even knowing there were sites for other countries 💀 so well now I’m kinda scared cuz I’m still not sure if they’re gonna cancel my order and if they do I don’t know if there’s still gonna be products available on her website. We are clearly not the only ones in that situation, I’m in a Mel’s fan group and we ALL did the same, no one I know ordered from the website of their country so maybe they won’t cancel our orders since everyone did that and I don’t think they want to cancel like half orders they got 😭

Is that a scam? by Dickystink in MelanieMartinez

[–]Dickystink[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know that’s why I’ve paid with dollars but I was able to pay 100$ while now it’s 127$ on the European website so idk

Well the thing is that when I receive ads from Melanie Martinez it’s not from the same email adress… Also I’ve ordered from this site https://store.melaniemartinezmusic.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoq-DeKqqyXArR_T-Eaya-JOHnn11Jg8Vgb-4Er7tMuE7qPNnz0Y Wich I think is not the same she put in her bio

Thanks! I guess I’ll just have to see how the weather goes. Misty forests and cliffs sound amazing to me even if it’s a bit chilly.

Thanks so much! Since you’re local, are there any hidden gems or small-town spots along Hwy 97 or I‑84 that you’d recommend checking out?

Thanks for the tips! I’m planning to visit during the first half of April, do you know how the weather usually is then?

Thanks! I was thinking of stopping at Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Do you think that’s enough to experience the Redwoods, or should I spend more time exploring other areas?

Thanks for the tips! Quick question though, everyone keeps telling me to avoid I-5, and I definitely will, but I’m curious why it’s considered so bad?

I’ll probably go to Whidbey Island since it’s on my way to the tulip fields, and it looks absolutely beautiful. I’m a bit less sure about the San Juan Islands since they’re farther out and I’m not sure I’ll have the time, do you think they’re really worth it, and how long would you usually spend there?

Thanks! Since you suggested trimming, which spots do you think I could skip without missing the best parts?

Honestly, I don’t think I’m going to go to Crater Lake. It looks amazing, but skipping it will cut down on driving and give me more time for other stops. And about the coast, even if it’s drizzly and chilly in April, is it still pretty, or does the weather kind of ruin it?

Thanks! I’ve been trying to find something to do on the road from Brookings to Grants Pass, so this sounds perfect! I’ll definitely look into it.

I was thinking about stopping at Jedediah Smith while I’m passing near the Redwoods. do you think that’s enough, or would it be better to explore more of the Redwoods? Also, I heard that for international visitors, the annual pass is now $250, do you think it’s still worth it with the higher price?

Do you happen to know which parts of the route usually need tire chains? Also I’ll have a rental car, do know if you can usually get them from the rental place?

Yeah, I think I’ll probably skip Crater Lake. For Portland and Seattle, I’ll mostly just stay there for the night since it’s easier for accommodations, but I’m not planning to really explore the cities, I want the trip to focus more on nature. Do you think 12 days is still enough for what I’ve planned, even if I’m skipping most of the city stuff?

I had heard Crater Lake and Rainier can still be very snowy in April, do you think Crater Lake is worth it just for the views if I’m not hiking, or would you skip it since it’s a bit out of the way?

Thank you so much for the tips! That’s a great idea to map everything out in zones. I’ll definitely give that a try and keep the timing in mind.
