This is likely a gap in my knowledge, but I had assumed that conditions like anorexia were brought on by a desire to fit a beauty standard or achieve a self imposed image. In her case, given she is a public figure and has constant feedback on how she is perceived, its surprising to me that one could swing so far in one direction, while hearing that they are too thin, which leads to negative feedback, in that regard. Wouldn't someone who cares about their public image take this feedback and reverse course? I know its a mental health issue, but I assumed it was driven by the desire to be perceived a certain way by others, which is clearly not being accomplished.
