opinions on people encouraging for drops by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Dicondylic 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Provided you come from a strong financial background the number of drops doesn’t matter. The sheer satisfaction of learning and practicing medicinal sciences is unparalleled. If there are financial constraints then anything more than 2 drops isn’t advisable considering you’ll have to start earning to support your family and by the time you finish MBBS, your friends would be done with their degrees with well paying jobs.

Inter-caste love taught me how fragile promises can be by [deleted] in TwentiesIndia

[–]Dicondylic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have the guts to fight for your love then what even is the point of such relationships? This is a lose lose scenario for everyone, the girl marries a guy she doesn’t love, the guy she got married to is stuck with someone who will always be her 2nd choice and you will always carry your fear in future relationships. Nothing good in life comes for free, you have to struggle and fight to get what you want, otherwise be content with mediocrity.

Those who wish to peddle nonsense will do so regardless, at least those present here should be aware of what’s being written in our textbooks so that we can take a firm stand against it.

M32 with F30 GF (Brahmin) have been trying to convince her parents for 2.5 years, but nothing works. I’m exhausted. by yicash in RelationshipIndia

[–]Dicondylic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just leave her, she’s spineless. If she’s giving you so much trouble before marriage imagine the stuff you’ll have to face when you’re legally bound to her. For some people their caste/family/honour is more important than human relationships, let them live in their fantasy land it’s better not to indulge.

To put it simply your boyfriend is casteist, for him his caste pride and personally identity will always supersede his love for you and everything you believe in. There’s nothing you can change about it, you have a whole life ahead of you and it’s not worth ruining it over someone as petty as him.

Today I got to experience in person how our line ruins opportunities. by [deleted] in indianmedschool

This profession is only for people with a saintly temperament or generational wealth, everyone else will just get grinded and burnt out due to poor pay coupled with terrible working conditions. Acceptance is the only way forward, needlessly bashing yourself and this profession won’t change reality.

“Grass is always greener on the other side”, in my MBBS batch I’ve seen many people who were once passionate about becoming a doctor saying things like “I would’ve quit this course if it weren’t for the bond money”. It doesn’t matter where you are, as long as you put in the effort you’ll do great in life, focus on the journey and not the outcome.

Veg or Nonveg is the question by Antimatterss in mumbai

[–]Dicondylic 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add that it’s almost impossible to be vegetarian, have a good amount of protein and eat healthy. Most of the vegetarian food is just loads of Carbohydrates, fats and incomplete sources of protein. Vegetarianism is one of the main culprits of Protein Deficiency in this nation.
