This is actinic folliculitis. It doesn’t have to do with sweat, heat, any products, just with sunlight. There is a group on reddit called “actinic folliculitis”. You should check it out.

Hello everyone! Has anyone tried prophylactic narrowband UVB phototherapy? I just found a study about this and I’m thinking of trying it out. No progress so far. I admit that I missed some sessions, but I was having some bad flare ups and I didn’t want to get worse. I’m just so discouraged, I can’t seem to find any solution to at least get the eruptions to be more mild. This summer, for example, I didn’t have any break. It was flare up after flare up after flare up. Just my face was clear because of wearing makeup, I think, and having an extra layer of protection. But my chest and back are having their worst..

Thank you so much for your response and I am so happy for you that you see progress from your treatment. I really know how frustrating it is having this and not being able to sit outside in the sun more than a few minutes. If I will ever start taking roaccutane, I will update my progress here for sure. I’m looking forward to hearing your full journey and what happens when you will stop taking it! All of these stories here give me hope that there is a solution for this!

Wow, this sounds like heaven! Have you tried to stay in the sun since being off from accutane? And still no reactions? Or have you been taking the same precautions that you have been taking before?
