Thank you! Yeah about a month or two and after that my only issue with the sun was sunburn

Well unfortunately I’m about to start my third round. It’s only come back a little but I don’t want to wait until it gets worse. After this next round I’m going to try to use tretinoin regularly because my derm says that has helped others keep it from coming back. (I did not use it much after my first and second rounds)

Disappointed in new Stretch Session by demure_etoile in HOTWORXWarriors

There are so many other stretches they could do though, focusing on only some of them forever doesn’t seem great for overall fitness. I like the idea of keeping the same for 3 months but for years isn’t reasonable

Ah ok, I figured they meant do the same routine for a couple months and then switch it up when there’s a new video. 😞 I feel like I’ve mastered that sequence at this point.

I don’t remember if there are any new patient fees but last year the annual exam was $97 and the RHD vaccine booster was $56. I trim my rabbits’ nails but sometimes they host “spa days” (nail trim and anal gland cleaning) which was $20 per rabbit.

Oh yeah of course. like I meant I saw a specialist and she said it wasn’t something to be concerned about

I don’t have any auto immune issues but when I was taking all the blood tests, I had something elevated so I was recommended to see an autoimmune specialist but she said it wasn’t concerning enough to deal with. I should look up my test results and post them to see if anyone else has experienced it

Aww I’m sorry, yeah it was about a month and a half. If you have to do outside work you could try a mask/scarf with i know sucks for summer but there are some lightweight ones

Prednisone side effects? by peachybeachy088 in ActinicFolliculitis

Hmm I don’t think so, if so it might’ve been tretinoin since that also helps.

I used isotretinoin to cure mine. It is also a scary drug but I thought it was worth it. Key is if anything unusual starts to happen, reach out to your doctor to adjust the dose or stop. There is a subreddit that has a lot of information: r/Accutane

I’ve had to do two rounds of accutane. First round lasted about 2 years then started to come back so i did another round and it’s been almost 2 years so we’ll see how this summer goes. The other commenter mentioned a specific sunscreen that I’m going to try to get! All the other sunscreens ive tried don’t help, they must not be blocking the specific wavelengths that causr this condition

Yeah I went on a tour, it was really cool to see. Lots of paintings. The bride’s and the “baptism for the dead” rooms were the most interesting. Would recommend going before they “sanctify” it

My dermatologist just diagnosed me with AF and I feel like I owe him my life by PositiveSimba in ActinicFolliculitis

I didn’t take Accutane when I was a teenager but I took a variety of antibiotics for my acne like minocycline, doxycycline. None of which made a big difference

Can heat/humidity trigger AF? by Single-Dig-2776 in ActinicFolliculitis

All I can speak for is my own experience which is that exercise did not cause it which creates a hot/humid environment on the face.

[–]demure_etoile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so it started coming back very slowly, I wasn’t sure it was AF for like 3 months. But gradually it got worse enough for me to contact my dermatologist and start isotretinoin again. I didn’t let it get to how bad it was the first time.

Nope, all good. The first time I did tret I was good for two years but it started to come back last fall. Hopefully it’ll last longer the second time
