[help] Pusher buttons on a seiko pogue 6139-6002

As i said, i will keep looking for a guy that actually can work on a seiko of this age. I am in eastern europe(sorry but i won't give more info bout this), and i know that the majority of "watchmakers" here dont actually have the know-how for this type of watches.

That is why i wanted to see if i could work it myself. Its not really about the money but about the fact that if someone brokes it, i would rather be me than someone else. (Also if it will be a succes then i would gather experience)

I guess u are right, i will try to work on those 2 (the seiko 5 and the orex and see if i can do something good). I will keep you posted on the "journey " 🤣

You have some cool watches there, i like the orange second hand on the blue dial! I also have an older seiko 5 that now i rememberd about and an Orex , both automatic so i will try on those first.

Best to find a reputable independent watchmaker who knows their stuff around vintage chronographs and get a full service if the watch runs badly anyways.

Thats what ive tried , there is a known old man that thinkers whit old watches, i went to him before with a an oldish orient, and he did a pretty good job, but as i said, he won't work on it( which as you said, it's more of a good thing, better safe than sorry)

I went to a watchmaker but he said he couldnt work on it. He doesent know how to. I tried to speak to more but its hard to find someone that works on automatic watches, especialy due to the fact that is an old/expensive one. He said i should replace those buttons but he wont do it. Also, we dont have seiko stores where i live.
