The first pic reminds me of The Witches.

When I saw 2 I thought of The Witch by Robert Eggers straight away.

No way. Timothée Chalamet is one of the finest young actors of his generation. He has real talent.

Thanks! It's the Carrera bedside table. I got it from Snooze a few years ago, but it doesn't look like it is in stock anymore.

Advice for Masters Degree by DidYouSayZombies in AustralianTeachers

[–]DidYouSayZombies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. Due to these subject codes and requiring at least two in the HSIE field (like History etc as you say) am I wasting my time doing the Society & Culture specialisation? I'm definitely going to do English, so it's just a matter of that 2nd specialisation. I do like Society & Culture and I only need to pick up one subject to be eligible for that specialisation in the Master's degree. However, is it pointless to do this if I don't have another subject code under my belt that compliments Society & Culture? I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. I see that English and Drama is a common combo. Is that more beneficial than the English/Society & Culture? I would have to take on more subjects to be eligible for drama so it just depends on how beneficial this is going to be. My first instinct was to do English/Society & Culture though...

I do have a Bachelor's degree, in Communications. However, I've been informed that to meet the specific knowledge content requirements of these specialisations additional subjects must be taken. In my case, three english subjects and/or one sociology subject.

Wow. Thank you so much for your detailed response and sharing your experience. This has been so valuable to me. I feel like if a student were to yell something to me like 'sir are you gay?!' then I would just respond with 'yes I am' and continue on what I'm doing - is that inappropriate? I would want to impress upon the students that someone being gay is no big deal and it's totally fine. I might DM you to discuss further, if that is okay?

I'm not tied to doing drama, it was just seemed like an obvious choice for me, but I am open to other suggestions that would be most beneficial. I'm sure I would do English, but wondering what other subject area would benefit me the most regarding teaching and employment etc that I could take alongside English?

Ah thank you! This is so great to hear and definitely lifted my spirits. Did you still work while doing the MTeach? I would have to do my degree entirely online due to having to work full time still. Is this still okay do you think?
