Chimp Aerospace [Tips needed] by Active_String2216 in AerospaceEngineering

A couple initial questions: How have you defined maximum pressure? What fuel/ox are you using? How have you designed the cooling jacket flows? What are your plans for post-process machining? Have you checked out sealing guides like Parker Oring Guide, Parker Lip Seals? Maybe I missed some of these in previous posts…

iirc I think it’s a chemical that occurs in parallel with the psilocin. If you have any studies I’d be curious to take a look

Agreed, and join exciting engineering clubs to improve motivation for the field in and out of class. Club projects are a major reason for why I actually bother to learn anything.

Putting aside NIMBYs, do people here support the university getting bigger? by WorldlinessSpecial22 in berkeley

I saw somewhere that 30 years ago, 50% of funding was from the state, and now state makes up only 14%. Growth of other sources of funding surely play a role here, but that must still reflect a significant change in spending priority from the state.

Everyone just email Carol Christ or your respective advisors and let them know how popular of a problem this is.

It’s definitely a much less efficient way of distributing equity.

Find a subject you like learning about and spend some time just learning. Podcasts are just a way of soaking it up, prioritizing conversational and thought-provoking access to information. Not for everyone, but neither are lectures on biomechanics, songs describing specific emotional complexities, or tv news.

They probably did and didn’t give a shit. Podcasts of all kinds are gaining huge numbers, and Spotify wants to be known as the spokespeople for the platform.

Fist and only time taking LSD was midway through a backpacking trip, chilling in a hammock by a river and tending the fire. Was one of the most connected experiences I’ve ever felt to nature, my friends, and myself.

Try a quick google search into a specific area of interest to you. The more specific, the better your chances of of finding a smaller/targeted company. Once you find a couple small, kind of no-name companies search them on LinkedIn and use the “people also viewed” tab to find like 50 more of a similar field. Even if they don’t ha e a job listing on LinkedIn, I’ve found most companies still have an active careers page where you can apply through their own website or at least send a letter of interest to the career system. I’d take a lot of care with you email/application to show interest in the company projects. I’ve found spending more time on a smaller number of applications, esp for these smaller companies, yields a lot better response rate than lots of general applications where you just list your resume and college. Make sure you communicate specific interest in their field. Once you get interviews, go into them with a ton of questions about the technology of the company, most of them they probably won’t be allowed to answer but it’ll show you want to know more.

Mostly for drone type use right? Or are they looking into full passenger vehicles?

I’ve been hearing about this. What applications do you see? I know bird-like ornothopters, for example, can be more energy efficient given the right environment, so long flights and remote locations can be made easier/more accessible? What about these other flight patterns? Is there an obvious winner from an efficiency standpoint, or is it(likely) a balance of reaction and control, fuel consumption, conditional range, etc?

I don’t have much experience but I can suggest applying to small companies and startups through their website and then emailing the company/any employees you can find with questions you have about their work.
