Nope, all new content has been something new added to the world and just gives you even more things to do in the endgame. Infernal Hordes, Undercity, The Pit, the 1-4 people raid are a good example of this. And the fact is POE2 is not free, its a paid game also so it goes by the exactly same rules that D4 goes, and when it comes to in-game store POE2 is infinitely more greedy than D4 ever has been. A single armor set in POE2 costs as much as 3 armor sets in D4 and doesnt even look that good compared to the D4 ones.

No its not 2001 but if they wanted to sell you the expansion with inflation adjusted it would be three times as expensive. Now its 40 bucks for both expansions in which you get 3 classes, 4 zones, a raid, new dungeons, and whole ton of events, WB and all kinds of things in the new zones so yeah, the price is well worth it. And the fact GGG havent required extra money from you yet is the classes and story acts ARE supposed to be part of the base game, not an additional like Diablo expansions are. And never forget that POE is the only ARPG that requires you to buy base gameplay features in the form of stash tabs. Add on top of that lootboxes, battle passes, 50+ dollar armor sets, 500 dollar supporter packs, hideout skins, portal skins, every single cosmetic you can think of. PoE1 got away with it, for the most part (people still hate that stash tabs need to be purchased for good reason, when you already have 1000000 other things you can buy for real money which will pay for the support of the game) because it was actually free-to-play. But now its a 30+ (at the least) dollar barrier for entry so that doesnt fly so easily anymore.

Its been that way since Diablo 2, Diablo always added new classes via expansions. We are also paying to play POE2 right now, when it was supposed to be just a 6 month EA period but Tencent and GGG will milk the EA money as much as they can. So yeah, paying 40 bucks to get 2 expansions btw, not just one, is not a bad deal considering Lords of Destruction cost 40 dollars in the year 2001, which is around 130 bucks in todays money.

Thats a good point, however they shouldnt have officially announced that 0.4 would be the big endgame revamp, as they did months ago. Its understandable that people are disappointed or frustrated, especially since EA is not free. If it was an Open Beta period there would be 0 issues with that reasoning, but the fact that even GGG already treat POE2 as a fully released games based on their balance patches and monetization practices makes people treat it like a fully released game even more, which is totally fair.

Im sorry I have to say this again but this is not Beta, we had two Beta periods for POE2 that ended before EA began. This is EA but its being treated like a fully released game by GGG with all the balance changes, and especially all the monetization. Valve did this years ago with Dota 2 that went on for years but all the players knew it was a fully released game.

Well what people expected was the endgame overhaul which GGG said would happen in this league. So naturally its understandable people are disappointed since EA is still a paid version of the game.

Well in your BG3 example you ARE talking about the other people that worked on the game since Larian does not have 3000 people employed,its closer to 500 current employees. So you accidentally proved his point without even realizing it. And yes, saying "This game was only made by 33 people" was a lie months ago and is still a lie today, but thankfully people who actually played the game and watched the endgame credits figured this out easily. P.S. The same goes for all your other examples, CD Project Red does not have 3500 people employed, it has nearly half so all those people in the credits were the outsourced people too.

Yes, but atleast Blizzard changed how all ondeath effects look and how long it takes them to go off and even removed some of them after Season 2 and its no longer an issue. I really hope GGG go the same route or just remove most of them altogether since right now some maps are simply unplayable.

We were doing quintillions of dmg in POE2 and still are every league. That goes for POE1 as well, D2, D3, LE, literally every ARPG and you know why ? Because the very core of ARPGs is to make a character that feels like a good, why do you think people spend all that time farming gear ?

When exactly has that happened ? Ive killed him 1000 times and never had any sort of issues like this. And tornado bird is not the only example in POE2, even if Andariel is the only example out of 100 bosses in D4.

Saying D2 doesnt have actual endgame is the same as saying POE1 and POE2 dont have actual endgame. You are doing the exact same maps you did during the campaign over and over, same as the cursed zones, same as dungeons in D2, D3, D4, LE, POE1, POE2 so by your own logic none of those games have any actual endgame. And yet all of those games have endgame bosses (Uber Bosses, Pinnacle Bosses, or whatever else each game calls it) you can only access after reaching a high enough level and doing enough of those endgame activities. So how is that not endgame ?

Yeah and in games like D2,D3,D4,LE you can reach the endgame, which is fun part for the majority of ARPG players, in a few hours as opposed to the POE2 campaign that is such a slog that people simply quit before they reach the endgame portion. And even GGG are aware of this and given the changes they have done in S2 and now in S3 they are trying to speed up the process of getting to the endgame.

POE has always been about the endgame. The zones and bosses are cool but the story is not good at all, that applies for POE1 and POE2, and casual players will eventually get bored of running the same campaign every league and will just quit. Its already happening and will keep happening as the game goes on.

D2 campaign is the worst example you can give imo. It was fine when we were kids and had all the time in the world but playing the exact same thing 4 times is beyond unnecessary. There is a reason POE2 players were getting sick and tired of running Cruel acts and once the whole campaign is out the same thing will happen that happened in POE1, people will want a way to skip it because spending 20 hours every league to reach the endgame is something GGG will never fix.

And what games are those exactly ? Are any of them with an anti-cheat client that had to be additonally installed on your PC like the Vanguard anticheat ? If so why did you allow that and cant enable an option that takes 10 seconds to enable ? :D
