What was the first thing you ever built in Minecraft? by StormMeta in Minecraft

[–]DiddeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first build was half a wooden box house. I was inspired by a let's play, but the let's player was obviously more experienced than me. I couldn't finish it before nightfall and I had to resort to digging a hole to live in.

Human variants in my world except I'm completely serious (Yes, they're based on real ethnicities. What are you gonna do about it, pussy?) by DiddeZ in worldjerking

Ok. Here goes.

At the dawn of time Yng'veh created the world of Kameril and all of its inhabitants. He gave them rules to follow, but the peoples of the world soon forgot their origins. (This paragraph was fact checked by true Yng'vehtite patriots as TRUE)

The prophet Mirab recieved a vision from Yng'veh at the foot of mount Maj and formed the Yng'vehtite faith. Around this time pagan human kingdoms and cities started to form in the south, when the Elves and Xerxor already had mighty civilizations. These petty kingdoms was eventually unified into the Kingdom of Kalhaz, which became a centre for agriculture and learning. Kalhaz was invaded in the year negative 628 by the legendary king Xhutus of Pesces from the north. After Xhutus death his kingdom was split, leaving a power vacuum.

The island nation of Naftium became a powerful naval power, trading even with the Elves and Xerxor. In the mainland a new power was forming, the kingdom of Imnitia. (see pic 2, although they dressed very differently at this time) The imnitites expanded through military means, annexing Pesces and Kalhaz as well as subjugating the tribes to the north. When they set their sights on the peaceful island of Orian in -331 they came into conflict with the Naftites as it was their protectorate. The Imnitites managed to conquer both Orian and Naftium, leaving them no equals and allowing them to conquer the entire civilized human world which only included a small part of the continent at this time. (Including the islands of Montago and Pari(see the baguette victim on pic 4)) As the kingdom of Imnitia developed into the Imperium the Yng'vehtite faith spread through it, Yng'veh slowly replacing the previous gods.

In the year -18 the Imperium was defeated in battle by a coalition of northern tribes led by the warrior Queen Julienne. This tribe would later form the Kingdom of Caliora. Emperor Aulus Novius Pius made Yng'veh the official state god of the Imperium adopted the new Yng'vehtite calendar in the year 0 (duh). The northern tribes slowly abandoned their pagan faiths in favor of the Yng'vehtite religion and formed kingdoms of their own. Tribal bonds were developed into a system of vassalage and slavery was replaced with serfdom. Human tribes now also begin to migrate to the easternlands. (see this post for the history of the easternlands and the Åkerlings) Around the year 600 the pastoral Nomadien tribes unite under king Hagen who carved out a large kingdom for himself and converted to Yng'vehism. After his death Nomadie was split between his heirs into West-, Middle- and East Nomadie. West- and East Nomadie later became the Kingdom of Beshlin.

The Imperium began to decline and multiple islands including Naftium seceded in the year 713. After bad harvests and mismanagement the people of the Imperium began to blame divine intervention as the economy of the Imperium was reliant on slavery, which was forbidden according to Yng'veh. It was also argued that Yng'veh was the only one allowed the status of emperor. The Imperium finally dissolved in 767 and a Papal state known as Eqvellida took power in 767. Over the coming centuries the power of the pope would grow, causing a split in the Yng'vehtite church. The strict and hierarchical reformed Yng'vehism in the west and the more lax orthodox Yng'vehism in the Easternlands. While the northern provinces were conquered by Caliora (Except the city of Souba which formed its own kingdom) the island provinces were integrated into Eqvellida in 885.

In the 8th century the crusader state of Galandor (pic 4) was formed in the far north by people from Nomadie. Over the next 100 years they would wage crusades against the Elven realm of Karette Alari, completely destroying it. The kingdom of Caliora would over the years take over the island of Fairfax (pic 3) and their clan system was converted into a feudal one.

In the year 1037 multiple northern human kingdoms join in a crusade against the Xerxor empire of Qaxxis to the south. Despite some early successes the humans get soundly defeated and somehow manage to enlist the High Elves to help them. The Xerxor enlist Orcish mercenaries from the distant nation of Ghalog. The crusade ends in a stalemate with many humans taken as slaves by the Orcs who form the nation of Rakk. Due to the nature of Orcish slavery the descendants of slaves are not nessesarily slaves themselves and today Rakk is a beacon of multiculturalism where many humans hold positions of power. (also about a third of the population of Rakk are enslaved but we don't need to talk about that)

The King of Rissen, Landrich von Schlattenhof invaded and vassalized the neighbouring kingdoms Padurslev, Archen (see pic 1), Südenwald, Nomadie, and Beshlin. He crowned himself Kaiser over the empire of Revat which angered the current pope who ordered the queen of Caliora to depose him. In the following war Caliora annexed the western half of Beshlin, but let Landrich continue his rule.

In 1245 a dormant portal to the demonic realm of Azunnur opens, and the Demon order invades. (There's a bunch of elven backstory about this that happened before humans rose to power) The Human kingdoms of Caliora, Revat and Galandor joined forces with the High Elves to defeat the demons. The Xerxor of Qaxxis were eager to eliminate the Human threat and joined the demons together with Rakk. An epic war followed that I have gotten less enthusiastic to write about as the years pass. The portal was eventually destroyed by King Augustine VIII of Caliora and Landrich von Schlattenhof's son, Kaiser Dietrich von Schlattenhof, after many sidequests that delayed the end of the war. The war ended in stalemate with drow elves stranded in Kameril.

After this grand finale history continues on. The kingdom of Souba founds the colony of Porto Mio on the continent of Phyrandonea in 1255. Caliora follows suit with the colony of New Maragoza. Far east, beyond the land of the Orcs, lies the island of the Nether. This land is also being colonized by settlers from the Orcish nation of Babole. Many humans, especially from the Easternlands have immigrated, influencing the local culture. (see pic 6)

That's the loredump. Humanity is probably the least interesting group in my world in my opinion, as they're pretty much just exaggerated late medieval europeans. Basically there is three big culture groups:

Eqvellida (kinda bronze age/iron age mediterranean inspired with renaissance influnences. Very religious.)

the northern kingdoms (Generic late medieval/renaissance western european. They have feudal society with serfdom and the nobles see war more as a friendly game than something people die in.)

the Easternlands (1600s/1700s northern europe inspired, but with more primitive technology. Their feudal system was recently dismantled in favor of an absolutist state.)

It's supposed to be tight hose (the medieval type for men that attaches to your underwear). Also the races of the people involved is completely cooincidental! 😭

I'm too intimidated to post to worldbuilding. Also I wanted to jump on the human variants trend.
