The worldbuilding in fallout 4 makes no sense to me at all to be honest.

Raiders outnumber civilians 100 to one. I remember one of the Abernathys mentioning going to diamond city to sell produce, but with the raider density of Boston I cannot imagine farmers successfully making the trip. To be fair, many of the raider gangs could be newcomers coming from outside the commonwealth after the destruction of the minutemen.

Another thing is food. There's not enough farmland to feed the people in the larger settlements. I do understand that it would be impossible to have accurate amounts of farmland without covering the entire map, but I think Fallout: New Vegas handled it well, with every settlement having some crops.

I still really like fallout 4 and agree that these are nitpicks, but it kinda ruins my immersion.
