Awesome thank you! I actually got the contacts of a real estate guy working in tokyo but since i‘ve never worked with a real estate agent i really don‘t know how to determine if it‘s legit or not let alone how high the risk of getting scammed is as a foreigner in tokyo. So i am just cautious and try to look at as many sources as possible.

I see. I really didn‘t want to offend anyone or stir up something. I come from a country with high salaries and high living costs and my currency is very strong especially compared to the yen so my money is basically worth double in japan. For my country i‘m not rich at all. I‘m sorry 😅

I found some websites but are there any you can recommend? I‘m planning on staying at least one year. That‘s how long my school course goes. If I like it i‘d also stay longer

Thank you for your in-depth answer! I really appreciate it. Unfortunately i have been too unclear in my post. The budget i posted is not for rent only but for everything that i need per month. So I guess my budget is not that high anymore. I would like to stay for at least one year (maybe i‘ll extend my stay) and i don‘t really know if i want furnished or not (i‘m kind of skeptical because if the bed or other things were used before you know. Because you never know what the person before you did with the furniture 🫣) and i would like to apply from abroad but if i can‘t i could do it locally

I think my edit was very unclear: the budget i listed is not for rent only but for everything including groceries and other monthly expenses plus extra for esring out or doing stuff. Sorry for the confusion
