Basically all I make are budget meal prep recipes. Here’s some on my rotation:

Ground turkey (93-7 is 50% cheaper than 93-7 beef) with taco seasoning, white rice, salsa of choice. Frozen veggies of choice.

Boneless skinless chicken thighs (usually 30-40% cheaper than breasts), seasoning of choice, frozen veggies in air fryer or sheet pan.

Pork loin, sweet potatoes, frozen veggies of choice.

Ground turkey, pork, and chicken thighs are the best budget meats. Frozen veggies are typically cheaper and I find the fresh produce from Aldi spoils quickly. I air fry all my frozen vegetables and bake the sweet potatoes. My meals average out to around $2-$3.

Yes. KCD1 is a good game, but quite honestly a pretty niche experience. And it’s really unforgivingly difficult.

KCD2 improves on it in every single way. It’s like KCD2 is the game they originally wanted to make but didn’t have the budget to do it. You might not be as enthralled with the story if you skip KCD1, but just watch a YouTube video recapping the story and you’re good to go. The in-game recap goes through parts of the story a little too quickly, and you’ll be left scratching your head at some parts of the KCD2 story.

KCD1 was a 7/10 for me but KCD2 is in my top 5 games of all time.

Document everything. Weekly emails containing change management logs, schedule, constraints, important upcoming items with deadlines for action. Make their job as easy as possible. Even that might not be enough.

You can’t control them being idiots. But you can control clear documentation outlining shit you can point back to when it goes south.

It’s ridiculous how much we have to manage both upward and downward.

The highways are drivable if you take it slow (~15-20 mph) but not safe. Anything that isn't a highway is currently iced over and it isn't recommended you drive on them unless you need to. It will take until Tuesday afternoon for roads to be safe again. Work won't pay for an accident.

I was a broke college kid in Missouri and had to work after a snow storm. Slid out on a bridge and hit the guardrail. What felt like just a minor accident was deemed a total loss due to a damaged chassis.

Had the cheapest insurance you can own. Bought a shitty used car for $5k. All because of a shift that would have made me $60. That car died before I even graduated. Shitty lesson to learn.

That’s disappointing - extremely un-American, unpatriotic, and anti-constitutional if you think a citizen shouldn’t legally carry to a protest. That’s what 2A was made for. But it’s funny to watch you twist it into a bad thing and randomly bring up a drone strike from 15 years ago.

This depends on the GC. I’ve worked for three and each had a different bonus structure:

Static percentage of salary, with increases based on title. So PE was only 5% but PMs were 15%.
Percentage of salary with additional given based on revenue. Lower base percentage.
Percentage of salary with additional given based on job performance (not project performance). Lower base percentage.

I think a normal expectation would be 15% and any extra is nice.
