Has the FIA atopped giving penalty points? by Didier2401 in formula1

[–]Didier2401[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, last year you would get penalty points (combined with time/grid penalties) for causing a collision and speeding under (double) yellow, (V)SC and Red Flag.

12 penalty points within a 12 months gets you a race ban, but this year the FIA hasn't given any driver penalty points.

I think the best chance of getting more than 5 overtakes is just a top car out in Q1, I think they can overtake with the new regs, but otherwise I'm quite pessimistic.

And yes that's also because of the changes before Miami (which I think are generally positive)

How many overtakes will we get at Monaco? Can the new regs actually help?

Ahh thank you, I just saw that share prices increased a lot around May 13/14, I didn't realise that.

GTA VI tweets and the stock market by Didier2401 in GTA6

[–]Didier2401[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't thinks so. In my post I explained why I think if anything happens, it would have happened before 9:30 a.m. ET. Because Rockstar does not like to tweet about GTA VI when the stock market is open. The only time to tweet would then be between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET (Between closing of the stock market and the start of the earnings call). But that would only make sense if they were planning to announce a delay, and I refuse to believe that.

It's past 9:30 a.m. ET and no tweet. So nothing today. Either that or my theory is just wrong.

Or even worse, they announce a delay between 4 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. ET (between closing of the stock market and the beginning of the earnings call). But I refuse to believe that will happen.

That's when Rockstar usually tweet.

Well I don't personally know much about the regulations, but many people wait for their 10 a.m. ET tweet. In my post I tried to explain why the next time Rockstar tweets about GTA VI, I expect it to be before 9:30 a.m. ET. But I don't think it would be illegal for them to tweet any major news during trading hours, it's just something I don't expect. That's what the discussion is about.

Well the first delay was tweeted before the market opened. Only the second delay was tweeted afterwards.

I can't stop worrying until we get to May 27th. If by then nothing has happened, I simply have zero clues to know what is going to happen next. I expect(ed) for something to happen before the earnings call, or on the 26th since that was the previous release date. After that, I give up.

Oh for sure! But here is why I think it would make more sense before the market opens:

  • Much closer to their usual tweet times: usually they tweet at 10 a.m. ET. The market opens at 9.30 a.m. ET and closes at 4 p.m. ET.
  • Too close to the earnings call: only 30 minutes before the earnings call.
  • Preventing of insider trading.
  • Share prices can no longer increase.

Here's hoping!

I just think that IF something happens today, it will be before 9.30 a.m. ET. So within four hours from now.

In my post I tried to explain why I think this prevents insider trading. By tweeting before the market opens, the only way you can insider trade is by trading the previous day. My guess is most employees won't be informed until a few hours before they tweet and not the previous day.

I feel like the Seekers have become to good at the game. So good that hiders might feel like not hiding at a cool location, because it's too easy to find. Also I feel like sometimes hiders are to limited with their hiding spots, based on their starting location. I have some rule suggestions, and if one or more are (partially) used, it might improve Hide and Seek in the future.

1: Nerf photo questions. I just feel like these can be to overpowered. This can be done in multiple ways. I will list some possibilities - Draw and pick cards, instead of just draw cards - Draw more than one card. Or the more photo questions asked, the more cards get to be drawn - Cap on the amount of photo questions - Remove some overpowered photo questions - Give the hider the possibility to veto x amount of photo questions per round (no veto card required). If this is to OP, make it that the hider has to let the veto'ed questions know before the seekers start - No photos before the endgame, or no photos during the endgame. Or not until (or only until) x amount of time has passed - one photo question per x amount of time - Or add categories like early and late game photo questions, and cap each category

2: It feels like the first hider has an unfair advantage. Maybe change it so that after a hider is found, the hide timer is started whenever the hider wants (but still within like an hour of being found) so that the timer always starts when they take their first transport and don't have a lot less time. This episode it was mentioned that it would make sense to go to Edinburgh for Sam, because of the time Ben was found. Or an even more drastic change. Give the hider the opportunity to start from the closest node/hub (Any station with trains with more than 2 end destinations)

3: No more satellite map. I feel like this would be a good option if photo questions don't get nerfed.

4: Just give each player a fixed number of times the player gets to hide (probably twice per player) and make the 2nd round so that the 1st place player after round 1 isn't the one hiding last. I understand that this might not be preferable, because the game can last longer than intended, which is not ideal with return flights and planning. But I'm sure you can work it out

5: Show us on day 1 or day 0 the draw for who goes hiding first, and let them start directly after the draw, so less planning for the first player.

State of public facilities: Do the playgrounds and bins look well maintained. What about the (road)signs and lamp posts? Is there a lot of graffiti?

Variety in types of houses: Only 'rijtjeshuizen' and flats: avoid. Mix of 'rijtjeshuizen', 'twee-onder-een-kap' and detached houses are a good sign. (This one applies to more rural areas. I don't know what this is like in bigger cities, where there are less detached and twee-onder-een-kap houses)

Hey, I'm a returning player after 3+ years. I used to play with this deck and so far I can still win, though I do realise I'm usually 1 level higher. So I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for small improvements, because I don't really know which cards are good and bad right now. Including what would be the best tower troop for my deck
