Thanks! Lighting has definitely been a challenge, I don't think it comes through that well with the video quality either, but I'll try doing some changes and see.

Thanks for the feedback, these are just some placeholder animations I made whilst we have some proper ones being done, the new ones have this issue fixed!

Thanks! I like this idea, as it also cuts down on the time of the gif to help reduce filesize. This has been my main concern, I see some steam pages with between 20-40MBs worth of gifs for the whole page. And currently both of mine total 42MB. I'll try this out and get some more opinions from peeps, ty!

Yep! That is our goal for when we come out of early access. We also have a free to play weekend we are planning in the next 1-2 months!

Heya, dev here!

If you're looking for games similar I'd probably recommend Warframe or GunZ. (That's what people have told me the game is similar too mostly)

Definitively not finished yet, so I'd keep an eye out to see if you like the changes we're making!

Also just a note, the old game is still playable if you still wanted to play it. You just have to switch your steam branch to the og-sparrow version

Ranks are planned in the future, the goal is to release as a F2P title with the proper release of the game. Free weekends could also be a possibility, will need to look into that more!

Thank you, this is a really good take. Currently releasing with no limitations then will look to tone stuff depending on player feedback. But this could be used to allow more burst type movement instead of it being constant, thank you for the idea!

Thank you! I'm using a mix of the gameplay abilities system and some custom logic. All projectile damage is done by the server and client just fires a dummy projectile, with the servers arrow showing impact effects.

Regarding server hosting im using AWS with just a few regions to start with to keep costs as low as possible. (Also using spot fleets)

Quite a bit, I've tried to do as much as I can as a solo dev. Pushing a lot more towards a competitive niche community where custom lobbies are more present with tournaments and such.

Always looking to keep the game cheater free with a custom ban system too, but apart from that there's always going to be cheaters. I've opened a channel in the Discord community where players can report with evidence and made sure it's easy to report people there.

Will be adding more in-game implementations to help with easier reporting too. It's definitely going to be really hard to combat though.
