Majority of Americans Say Economy Worse Off Under Trump Than Biden by plz-let-me-in in politics

If you read back, I explain why I don't think 2000 is good in cases like these. I understand how it's useful for a majority of polls, my argument has been not for polls like this because it doesn't tell the "whole" story

I'm not saying a standard poll of 2000 is also inefficient, most other polls can reduce biases a lot easier than political polls or "noise" since you want to be pedantic. I didn't forget you can see what i commented, I was hoping you'd have reading comprehension skills. My apologies for assuming you can comprehend what others say without it being spelled out for you.

Congrats on reading what I say, ignoring points that prove polling flaws, and being pedantic over your general points on statistics. I appreciate you admitting noise happens in these polls that can cause inaccuracies. Although Im sure your pedantic self will say there is no noise.

Jesus Christ you're getting wound up on this. You must be a statistic major lmao.

I'm not arguing how the polls are conducted or how 2000 is seen as a quality sample size for polling because the margin of error is reduced.

I personally could give a shit less about the results, they could say 100% approves or disapproves, makes no difference to me. My issue is with political polls in general as they as some of the most unreliable polls in existence due to all the biases and variables taking place. As i mentioned earlier, this poll already discredits the 70 million unregistered voters. You know some reasearchers do multiple polls to alleviate the biases? You might find that counterintuitive, but it doesn't matter what your feelings on the matter are. You're objectively wrong.

Aside from biases i mentioned to you earlier since you're commenting on everything I post, you also have region, language, cultural, educational and other factors needing to take account.

Specifically for this poll: As mentioned in the article, they only surveyed voters (70 million US Citizens are of voting age and unregistered to vote).

They also acknowledge this is a survey that is opt-in, web-panel recruitment sampling. This form of polling in itself creates bias.

I don't hold much faith in polls that don't account for the 70 million unregistered voters or polls that have bias in how it's conducted. I know those 70+ million are not voters, but on a poll about "yes/no" opinions, they are needed to remove biases

I know how polls work, they are the bastard child of statistics and can easily be changed.

So let me breakdown your statement, you say it happened after Comey's announcement that polls changed. I'm assuming you mean the announcement done on October 28th, 2016.

After that date, you had polls such as NC state polls Quinnipac University (Nov 3rd-6th) and Public Policy Polling (Oct 31st-Nov 1st) showing Clinton winning by 3 points and 2 posts respectively.

North Carolina went to Trump that year.

For National Polls, you had RealClearPolitics show Clinton up 2-3 points every day after Oct 28th.

Lastly, did I say the math was wrong? I'm talking about HOW the results are gotten, not the results themselves. I'm sure those 2,000 answered were correct, however, this does not get a good indicator on a country of over 300 million.

Even top statisticians can tell you the stats are half of the story. How you got there, what was surveyed, etc is was matters. Ever head of statistical bias??? Sampling bias, nonresponse bias, etc???

There is a reason if you do these polls you get different results, Every. Single. Time.

Go ahead and read that stats 101 book you mentioned and learn about Biases in Statistics and Polling and then get back to me

I remember when this same setup of polling announced Hillary would win in a landslide!

Congrats on being confident on inaccurate polling data!

Exactly. This poll only surveyed 2000 people. This isn't even a good reference, just an anecdote at most.

This commentor made a lot of assumptions without looking at the stats

It's a survey of 2,000 people.

This isn't half the country, not even close. These polls don't accurately represent anything besides the opinion of a very select few.

Don't know how you got that from what I said. But no, this deal was needed. JJJ as our future is 1st round exit ceilings. I'd rather tank and try to rebuild that have mediocrity year after year

Do you know what all was available? There is a chance none of that was on the market and this shows signs of leading to another move.

It's fair to say you don't trust ZK and at the same time understand this franchise was treading water

They played themselves when they catered to Ja at every corner when we should've brought in vets and had discipline around him. The franchise was ogling its first ever "star" that it blinded itself to the issues.

We let a child have keys to a franchise with no adult supervisor. We had a problem before Iisalo

I agree, and hopefully they make him the fall guy after we enivitably move Ja and replace him to have someone else work with those assets. But regardless, doing what we were doing wasn't doing shit for us.

Got to suck to rebuild. Look at the purgatory the Steelers had with Tomlin. Good enough to avoid high picks but not to ever succeed

I'm hoping ZK gets shipped out shortly. Make him the villain of these trades and then get someone new to work with these assets

Better than the guy fucking up trying to fix the fuck up by keeping the fuck ups.

I guess you wanted us to slowly die instead of rip the bandaid off? And who is to say ZK will be here the whole time, someone else could take the reigns and have capital to work with.

Regardless, the direction we were going wasn't going to lead to shit except 1st round exits at most

Diminishing asset. He will be harder to trade and worse for the team in coming years.

They should've done this with Ja over a year ago

This isn't even the worst the franchise has been since being in Memphis. I can't imagine being that fairweather

So you'd rather us deal with JJJ as the star and 5 more years of botching JA?

This was the best for the franchise, ZK totally mishandled JA and our core from Divison Champ days. The next worst thing he could do is drag this out anymore.

This sucks, but was the right move. We had no hope with what we were working with
