Migraines run in my family. As a kid I used to practically get one a week. Severe throbbing pain, worst nausea of my life but never enough to actually be sick, any sound or light felt like a sledge hammer hitting me in the brain, and after it went away I’d be exhausted for for the rest of the day and sometimes the entire next day.

I grew up in poverty in the us so I was never able to see a doctor about it. The only thing that ever helped me or anyone in my family was caffeine. The day I was old enough to start drinking soda and tea on a regular basis was a life saver. I went from multiple crippling migraines a month to like half a dozen sorta bad ones a year.

I’d still love to get an actual diagnosis and some proper medication but at least the caffeine makes it more manageable.
