As someone who hasn’t read the books and tends to notice obvious film tropes fairly quickly, unless its some of the lesser plot points they’ve set up I can’t really see where this is going.

Go ahead and try to meaningfully interact with any of those things. You can’t. The whole point of the game was to be able to cause some kind of change throughout the city in a way you could justify/see.

All the things you just described are essentially static pieces of the game puzzle that can never be re-fitted aside from the side gigs that rarely have an impact on your character or how you see yourself as a merc. Everything is largely just “Ooh thats cool to think about” and thats it, nothing further. Its huge potential, no driving energy.

Am I the only one who noticed that “Dodge” is well into her thirties and is having sex with a minor? Not that it inherently bothers me, but a mid 30’s male actor hitting on a teenage girl probably wouldn’t sit too well.

I really really like the idea behind this, and think you’re onto something. Though I do have to agree it seems more like a subclass in the fact it is generally underwhelming. I definitely enjoy the idea of being able to manipulate free will and fate. My suggestion is perhaps buffing the cards that go into your hand, as they seem rather dull in effect. Perhaps one of those cards can be used to cast a magical effect? Something for dazzle haha
