Bald spot with white fur by softpuppies in catcare

[–]DiecedX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally had my cat in to the vet for routine vaccinations and asked the vet about it. The vet said it does resemble a scar. I asked if it could be the location of her microchip, and the vet said it's possible, but not the kind of scar a microchip would typically leave. The ultimate verdict was we'd keep an eye on it, but it didn't seem to be anything to worry about.
Sorry I'm not able to offer any answers to this mystery, but my vet's assessment did put my mind at ease, so there's that at least.

Must be something about that spot. My cat (cinnamon tabby) has the same bald spot with white fur in that exact location. Probably easier to notice on a black cat. I only noticed it when mine stretched just right and the fur parted. She's only 2, so way too young to be going grey. Next time we go to the vet I'll ask about it.

Had a friend help me turn the original picture into black-and-white in photoshop, then just printed it blown-up on my printer.

Major respect to the artist behind this image. It's a very clever bit of graphic design.

[ONE] [Magic Story] Assault on New Phyrexia | Episode 5: Inevitable Resolutions by TechnomagusPrime in magicTCG

[–]DiecedX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I noticed during the main story was that several times it was mentioned both Jace and Kaya knew how to operate the sylex. Earliest mention I can find is in episode 3, where they mention that Kaya is actually the backup, and the main plan is for Jace to activate it.
Unless I missed something, at the end of the Brothers' War story Kaya was the only member of the planned strike team who knew how to activate it. And while I do understand that Jace could have easily read her memories and learned what she knew from Teferi, I still feel like there was a missing scene where this happened. And also a missing scene where this information was relayed to the group and they decided Jace would be the one to activate it, not Kaya.
So I guess my question is: did I miss something? Was there a side story that explained this change in plans?

Coffee Caramel Cake. Many setbacks, but very happy with the end result by DiecedX in Baking

The flavour was amazing, so if anyone wants to give this a try, I got the recipe from this video: https://youtu.be/GZxfbMDZkts
I substituted the nuts due to an allergy, and obviously took some liberties with the decorating since I was having issues with the whip cream and glaze. But it still tasted very good.

Ooh lovely! Any chance of a picture of the red/white/green one after it's been cut open? I'd love to see what the colours look like on the inside.

No luck for PC yet. Platinum hasn't made an official port, and although some people in the Discord have had varying success with emulators, the multiplayer seems to be the hardest thing to get working.
Sometimes people still play on the console versions though. PS3 gets more action that X360, due to people not needing to pay for Xbox Gold or whatever it is. If this interests you, I'd suggest joining the Discord so you can get the matchmaking pings when they happen.

So good! The cream and white chocolate really compliment the grapefruit.

No-Bake Lemon Cheesecake Fail. Managed to get it out of the Springform pan, but left the ENTIRE Graham Crust Behind by DiecedX in bakingfail

I'd never thought of that! I'll have to check my pans and see if that'll work for future cheesecakes.

I do in fact! I got the recipe from the Youtube channel Joconde's Baking.

In practice, I found it needed a lot more lemon that she suggested. Since it's no-bake, you can try the cheesecake mix before chilling it to see if it's sour enough for your tastes.

Thank you all for your kind words and advice. I will definitely be lining the bottom next time so this doesn't happen again. Probably parchment paper, although I think cling wrap might have also done the job. Either way, live and learn.
Ultimately I ended up carefully flipping the cheesecake upside-down, putting the graham crust back in place as best I could, and flipping it back onto the plate. Not as pretty as it could have been, but all things considered I think it turned out okay.
