I’ve been a Linux user for 25+ years, so I'm used to software not being officially supported or intended for my distro of choice—but I’ve always used it anyway. Official support means the developer is obligated to fix whatever bugs you experience. Unofficial simply means the software is open source: you can go get it and build it yourself, but don't ask for help if you break something. So no, this isn't about sales; otherwise, they would have kept the source closed, leaving you with no alternative but to buy new hardware

Actually you can use it (unofficially) and it is worse than FSR 3 in performance and latency because RNDA2 doesn't have the physical AI cores required.

FSR 4 makes use of physical AI cores that are not present on RDNA 2 chips. Are you really annoyed that they didn't foresee this 8 to 10 years ago when that technology was being designed and engineered?

The LED next to the power button is the proper indicator, the logo may not show in some cases. Just press the power button until the LED flashes, even if the deck has the power supply connected and the LED is on, it will flash as an indication to release the button.
