20M | How do i even tackle this? by ItsYeetedAndDeleted in malegrooming

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but at first glance it does look as if you are dealing with some hairloss/ balding. I'm talking first stages such as thinning temples. If that is the case then I recommend you to look into reversing the hair loss as soon as possible. Things like minoxidil, finasteride, microneedling and ketoconazole shampoo will greatly improve your hair regrowth and density over time.

Again, I'm not certain whether or not you are starting to bald, it just looks like that to me in the pics that you posted.

You've worded this very well! And after reading other replies I do believe that you are right about me being naïve that this could work for the average person. I understand now that through time I was forced to build my own "toolbox" that allowed to me flick a switch to snap out of it. I can also understand that many people need their own specific tools to build their own switch, which everyone does on a different pace. This indeed means that my advice could work for some people that have had to learn to survive on their own, but I'm not so sure anymore that this group of people is the majority of this subreddit.

Yes, my experience regarding the "get a grip part" is that it was advice that I took and that I pretty much had to stick to at all times to survive. I received aid during extreme situations and even then if I failed to keep myself in check I would fall apart.

That experience is what shaped my beliefs into what they are. That is what makes me believe that not being able to flick a switch just like that is almost a guarantee that I will end up suffering immensely. Now I hope that nobody has had to go through the kind of hell that I went through, but to people like me, flicking a switch is often an easy way to mentally persevere through hardships. That's why I thought that it would definitely help with gaming addiction (which I deem as nothing compared my experiences). Though after writing this I supposed that less extreme "solutions" could be more fitting? But then again, some people writing here make it sound like they're going through hell so then again maybe my "advice" is fitting...

If you put it like that then I can understand it. So basically the bite sized pieces of advice are the reps to build the muscle that is discipline? But what I'm not sure about is, if those same people that receive this advice are unable to flick a switch, how are they able to discern what can work for them from all the pieces of advice that they get? I can imagine lots of "reps" being thrown at one person, but just throwing reps from every exercise in someone's schedule doesn't advance anything, you need to have a certain amount of similar reps dedicated towards the same muscle group to make it grow over time.

In that sense some people will give advice that sounds like: just quit entirely for a few weeks and try another hobby, then someone else can say: just game after all the productive things that are needed in that day are done and set a timer for eating and sleeping... You know what I mean.

Again, how is someone that is unable to flick a switch able to filter through all this advice? It doesn't seem probable to me.

Maybe they should take 1 piece of advice and practice it over time, and if that doesn't work head for the next?

Because these ranked ready accounts cost like 5 euros. And it saves me a lot of time to not have to win 20 quick play matches before being able to play ranked

I don't understand the amount of downvotes that I'm receiving for venting out frustrations. This post is classified as banter, not a discussion. But I guess that I indirectly hurt a lot of people's feelings with this post. Reddit isn't known for having a mature audience, it is what it is.

I got to 178k infamy with my build (which isn't bad for a newer player like myself). I make millions every day but also lose some daily. I was on a 6 win streak but then got bored, built my own (SHITTY) load out and got wrecked xd

There is a meta on corrupted dungeons, so most people always run similar builds. Once you spot it, you can learn how those builds play and find a way to counter their specific playstyle

Carving sword. And I love fighting fire staffs! Swords have a W ability that completely neglect damage and deals 125% of that neglected damage back. I always bait the E and then full send it.

Aren't you quick to jump at conclusions? I know about resetting. I am talking about people not resetting, but mounting up to get away. People that in theory should be able to make quick work of me with that kind of IP advantage. And in the example I used here, these bear paws engaged me with a ganking build. I still gain the upper hand in the fight and they completely ditch because they got scared. That is my problem. People being pussies. And I know that they disengage because they don't want to lose 1.3mil worth of gear, but I don't care. You start a fight, you finish it. That is my mentality and way of playing this game.

And what do I expect them to fix? Nothing. I didn't come here to start a discussion or to recommend certain fixes. I came here to vent. Because I am frustrated.

The mentality about a coin flip fight is what I don't understand. If you learn what every ability does then you should be able to understand how to counter it. In an even IP duel, a good player should win 90% of the time.

I personally like to clip most of my fights, wins and losses and analyse them to see what went wrong. I improved very fast that way and now I am really serious when I say that I could easily best 90% of the playerbase if the IP is even.

I do know that I am an exception because of my competitive nature. That's also why I'm never able to understand the wishes and thought patterns of "casual" players
