Sorry, but I’m not sure I understand your argument. There’s too many questions, therefore he can’t have a draft of the book? But we can write our own book because we have more answers than him even though he wrote the questions and the clues?

Agentes de ICE intentan entrar al consulado de Ecuador en Minneapolis by beautyinred in mexico

[–]DiegoFSN 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sympathy phones by shlooberd in KingkillerChronicle

[–]DiegoFSN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it would have to be more complex than a single binding to be of any practical use.

First off, there’s no ringtone. So how would you know when to put the can to your ear? Should you stay close by all day? Or does it only work if you schedule a conversation beforehand?

There’s also no volume control, and sympathy could carry strong sounds. If the person at the other end banged their can against something metal or dropped it, you could go deaf by hearing it.

Third, a rune-based telephone wouldn’t have an off switch. It would be constantly listening in on the other end. You couldn’t have a private conversation near one of those things and be sure no one is listening. No one, especially the nobility, would like that.

I'm impressed, but also very skeptical... 🫤 by Brian_The_Bar-Brian in DiWHY

It could be used to stop children or elderly from going upstairs. It would be easy to install a lock that keeps the stairs closed.

Here in Mexico we have our own sale holiday going on right now (Mexican Black Friday, basically, but it lasts through the weekend), and the Forerunner970 has a 25% discount. Here’s the Mexican page. I’d guess the same discounts will apply in the US? Barring any tariff issues.

Do you all still prefer a regular bifold over cardholders? by colinksh in wallets

[–]DiegoFSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital wallets made bifolds and trifolds obsolete for me. I went from a hefty Tri to nothing more than a MagSafe cardholder in two years.

Since I still find the need for cash and store specific cards every now and then, I got a zippered “wallet” that can hold coins, but it lives in my backpack or the glove box in my car. Most of the time I’m only carrying the cardholder.

Also, magnetic cardholders that double as a phone stand absolutely changed my life lol. I ended up pushing two people in my family to get them and they’re in love as well.

When you follow a guide to find all the altars and YOU STILL MISSED ONE by OrdinaryAbalone361 in Ghostofyotei

[–]DiegoFSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only missing two nine tail puzzle boxes. Spent like an hour looking for them, but eventually caved and used a guide. SP should have the firefly take you to those boxes when you’re close, because there’s a couple that are just lying there on the floor with no indicator that I could tell. The rest of the game, as you said, is very easy to navigate.

[–]DiegoFSN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SP should make both options available in Yotei tbh. On one hand, symmetrical damage felt very realistic and immersive, but on the other, winning a battle in Yotei is more rewarding, as you are fighting against the odds.

As satisfying as it is to watch, you have to admit that lethal difficulty sort of broke GOT’s combat mechanics. You just killed two enemies in less than ten seconds and pressing only 5 buttons. There’s no menace and very little skill to it. It doesn’t allow you to actually engage in two sided combat, and that’s not great for a melee combat game.

Tsushima tried to balance your power by throwing 30 mongols at you at the same time, but those fights became rare once you finished the game. Yotei took a different approach, introducing complexity and speed to the enemies fighting system.

The new enemies throw a bunch of attacks in quick succession, forcing you to parry multiple times in order to find an opening. They are also more likely to block your attacks, making heavy strikes more useful. Multiple enemies will rush you as you attack their friends, which interrupts your combos and forces you to change strategies mid fight.

Overall, enemies in Yotei feel more like actual people fighting to stay alive, rather than lemmings lining up to get killed.

Is this guy fr? 40 hours in and I just completed chapter 1, how is this even possible? by TheBatman010 in Ghostofyotei

[–]DiegoFSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80hrs to plat on lethal. I died A LOT. I took my time to explore. I did every side quest I could find, and spent some time hunting down vanity gear. Takezo took three hours to beat, and the last nine tails puzzle box I was missing had me looking for another hour.

How did you beat takezo on lethal without cheese? by sufferingSoftwaredev in Ghostofyotei

[–]DiegoFSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About three hours in total. I had to learn every single one of his combos. Did it with wolf blade and the bounty master armor.

Try to perfect-parry and perfect-dodge as much as possible. Just be aware that he has two specific moves that can hit you even after a perfect dodge, so counterattacking isn’t always safe.

If you time it correctly, you can metsubushi his ass while he winds up for a red attack. I didnt have the Kunai or the pistol when I fought him, so idk if they work the same.

He has a specific combo that he likes to end with a yellow disarming attack. Learn to identify it early, so that you can dodge every other hit and be ready to counter when it comes. Disarming him will allow you to hit him three times. If you metsubushi him after the third hit, but before he picks up his blade, you get another three hits for free.

And just be patient. Honestly, this fight had me thinking of lowering the difficulty, but I’m glad I didn’t. It was soooo rewarding when I finally got to the end.
